I bought this for my husband for Christmas, because we have very limited space in our freezer in our refrigerator and always had issues with how much ice was in the ice cube trays people not refilling the trays etc. I thought that it was a great deal on machine and decided to take a chance on it and I have to say it was probably the best present that I got for him. We've really gotten so much use out of it, it is April now and I bought it as a Christmas present as I said and it works great it automatically will make ice until it's full and when you open it up and you take some ice out it senses that the tray isn't full anymore and it automatically makes more the little light comes on when you need to add some more water and that's it it does not take up too much space it does take up counter space but not too much it is really quiet and it's just a really great product I don't really have anything negative to say about it. Great purchase worth the money.

I bought this machine because the ice-maker built into our fridge died. It worked pretty well for about 9 months. Cleaning it is a bit of a pain, but doable (mostly, more later). The problem we had was that it sprung a leak about 8 months in. At first it was a slow leak, and then it was fast, and then it was so fast that it couldn't make ice any more, and we couldn't really abide all the water running out onto the counter. When I opened it up I found the pictured hose, nestled tightly into a void between the coils of the refrigeration mechanism and the fan. The hose was completely compromised at the hottest point. More to the point, it was, despite all of our religious cleaning of this thing, seemingly filled with mold or some other black substance. I don't really know what to do about this. We followed the cleaning protocol in the manual, and I don't want to put more powerful solvents through it, not knowing what it might do to the pumps, but that hose looks nasty, to me anyway. I ordered some .25" OD food-grade silicone tubing off Amazon, and fixed it, but this seems like a fundamental design flaw. So, generally speaking, it does what it claims, but I have questions about some of the design decisions and materials choices. Update: The company addressed our issue, offering to send us parts, and giving us a partial refund. So, to give credit where credit is due: There was an issue, but they resolved the issue, and did so in a timely manner.

First, this unit comes with a sticker saying allow the unit to stay upright for 24 hours. This is a very good idea as FedEx delivered our unit upside down. We reached out to Euhomy about this and they responded very quickly and generously. After the 24 hours, we opened up the unit. The problem with the packaging is there was packing tape on the decorative front side of the unit. Taking the tape off left adhesive which took a long time with alcohol wipes to clean off. Euhomy should package their units so the packing tape is on the bottom of the unit nobody will see. Make sure to remove all the tape which secures the unit during shipping, it's in a lot of places. Next I cleaned the unit and filled it with water so it would start making ice. I noticed then the unit made a rather high pitched noise. I figured out this was caused by the small protection cage on the outside of the fan. Putting my finger lightly on the cage stopped the noise so I got a small piece of tape and taped the cage to the side of the unit. This stopped the noise but now there is a piece of tape on the side of the unit. Our unit is black so I used black electrical tape so it is not very noticeable. The unit now has been running several days. It makes ice quickly and looks very nice.

Works great so far. Great value for the money. Not the quietest appliance in my kitchen, but works well. Not refrigerated, obviously, but if you let the first several batches sit in the water, the ice above it in the tray melts far slower. Makes each batch in 8-9 minutes. I turn it on in the morning and have ice all day long. My only complaint is that the blue plastic protective film is applied to the case parts prior to assembly, so it is impossible to remove it where the parts of the case meet.

My only complaint about this product is that I wasn't paying enough attention and paid $49.99 for shipping. I would have ordered a different color because this matches nothing in my kitchen. :( The product makes ice quickly depending on the ambient temperature of the room. So far no problems at all. It is smaller than the last one I had which gives more space on the counter.

So easy to set up and use. The manual is basically unnecessary as the interface is very intuitive. The hardest part of getting this ready was the unpackaging. I set the device up on the back of my bar. Waited the suggested 24 hours to allow the refrigerant to settle. Filled with distilled water after cleaning the water tank, the ice bucket & scoop. As advertised the first batch was ready in under 10 minutes. The unit is very quiet and produces ice very quickly. I was able to reclaim a shelf in my over crowded freezer that used to hold ice and ice cube trays. Now I make fresh ice when needed and don't have to store any to be sure I don't run out. This is a great device that freed up needed freezer space and creates ice cubes nearly instantly.

I've had this item for nearly two years and have love it. (I'm on Amazon today to order a replacement.) I wipe down the inside and do a run-through clean with vinegar and water at least every other weekend, but ... after two years, I really want to take the entire top piece apart to clean thoroughly. There just isn't a way to thoroughly clean certain parts of this appliance. There are also tiny rust chips accumulating in the water tank, so something is rusting and I can't access it to repair or clean. I have been really happy with this icemaker though. It sits on the kitchen counter and makes ice all day like a champ.
