I love this unit. We live in northern WI where we normally do not need air conditioning until the last several years. Finally replaced our ancient unit with this one. Our living room has a cathedral ceiling and then old unit would barely keep it cool. The set up was so easy and soon as we turned it on the room felt almost instantly cold! I love that it isn't constantly runnning the fan/motor once the room has come down to temp, then kicks on when it needs to. Very quiet compared to the old unit we had.     • Don't waste your money
Absolutely did NOT cover 750sqft! My window units cooled the house down more than this huge overpriced ac did. Waste of money!

    • Too much labor, inconvenient to set up, and not working well.
For over $500, I expect better. First off, they cheapest out on the insert of all things. I had to use duct tape and another insert to get it to stick in place, and it's still coming undone. Second, the bottom isn't flush. This makes raising it off the ground a pain in the neck because for some reason, despite costing an arm and a leg, they decided to put the second drainage port on the bottom of the machine. Thirdly, this is my second day ever using it, and it's not cooling the one bedroom it's supposed to. There's water all over my floor, because heaven forbid they try to give you a collection pan. In short: way too much labor, way too inconvenient to set up, and useless. I'm probably going to return it. Has a remote, haven't used it. Noise level same as most AC. Kinda dinky compared to my last one. ... show more

This a/c unit works great. Wasn’t too heavy to put in an upstairs bedroom. This master bedroom gets hot even with central a/c. On a 90 degree day it kept bedroom at 70 when set at auto 73 degrees

    • Worked Until It Didn't
I had the previous model that I purchased last May. This unit lasted just over 1 year before the compressor died. It was in the master bedroom and was primarily used at nighttime. We do live in Central FL, so we get more use than in a more moderate climate. The central air in the house was still on in the evenings - just a few degrees higher. The three modes are fan, dehumidifier, and cooling. Now, when you change to the various modes, the FAN and DEHUMIDIFIER lights up, but the cooling light does not. There is no audible sound of the compressor coming on, and the air temperature outside is the same as inside. A one-year warranty, and we missed it by 1 month. I can't recommend this unit due to its short life. ... show more

    • Disappointed, barely cooling the room down
Editing to add: I’ve had enough. I’ve given this thing 3 days and it’s failed miserably to cool our space and I’m returning it. So disappointing! Now I have to go and find a box, pack the thing up and try and get it to a UPS drop off location. What a pain. I had high expectations for this because of the reviews. The cooling power is just not there for a unit of this size and supposed capacity. I’m going to give it a few more days and see but I think I will return it. It was fairly easy to assemble and it looks like a nice machine but it really isn’t doing what the main purpose is, cooling my room properly. I’m pretty disappointed ... show more
