I liked that was easy to set up along with easy to use. I really like how theres an alarm type sound that goes off when needs to be emptied and wont turn back on until it's drained. That's extremely important to know considering the fact if dont check occasionally it could cause a really big mess. Trust me I know!! My daughter had a different air conditioner like this one before and didn't even know that some types have to be emptied. So of course she found out the hard way. I also like that its very easy to move to a different room if needed. If have any issues at all the seller was extremely helpful and make things right. Most importantly cools room off fast. I'd definitely recommend to buy..

Product itself had some major flaws and despite emptying entire unit of water, flashed red for full tank and stopped working after a little over a month and a half. The fan works fine and when it functions it functions well, but for a dehumidifying function I would use a different device for sure and cannot vouch for the time expectancy of this unit. Be aware that I had initially intended two stars for the function issues but after the merchant reached out to me and offered a full refund, I agreed to raise the rating as they did follow through and refund me the full amount for the unit. Proceed knowing that you may be assisted if the unit malfunctions, but may first need to go through the headache of hot weather and trying to figure out what is wrong with the unit.

I purchased this AC unit for my sons very small bedroom as my house in Maine does not have central AC. Upon opening the box I found the unit to be covered in grease/oil and the box itself to be rather saturated. I cleaned it off the best I could and set it up. The AC has been on for a few hours now, mind you the sun is down and it's nighttime, the room is still sitting at 81 degrees. It is not blowing cold air at all. If it doesn't start working soon I will be returning the unit. **Update**: Company reached out quickly and offered a refund or replacement due to the issues with shipping. I opted for the refund since I ended up buying a unit at my local Walmart. Excellent customer service!!

Editing to add: I’ve had enough. I’ve given this thing 3 days and it’s failed miserably to cool our space and I’m returning it. So disappointing! Now I have to go and find a box, pack the thing up and try and get it to a UPS drop off location. What a pain. I had high expectations for this because of the reviews. The cooling power is just not there for a unit of this size and supposed capacity. I’m going to give it a few more days and see but I think I will return it. It was fairly easy to assemble and it looks like a nice machine but it really isn’t doing what the main purpose is, cooling my room properly. I’m pretty disappointed

My original review is below, but the excellent customer service team at EUHOMY made me want to amend it. Yes, my unit leaked, but I had never contacted the company. I didn't have a warranty, so I thought I was just out the money. Plus, I didn't want to pay to ship it back. Then, just after I left my review, the customer service team at EUHOMY contacted me and offered me a full refund, including taxes and shipping. I was overblown. Truthfully, the refund could not have come at a better time. I am very grateful. Hence, if you have a problem with a product you buy, contact customer service first. You never know what they might be able to do for you. Original review: I like the cooling power of the AC, but no matter where I put it in my house, it leaks and ruins floors. Can anyone help?

My first one experienced a "mishap" during its time with FedEx. To my eye it looked like the damage could have been caused by as little as a 2'-2½' drop on its right-rear corner. The right-rear wheel-assy was GONE and the case was "busted up" (technical terminology ;) ) from the impact and torque. I was left VERY impressed by HomyDirect Customer Service in the person of Betty, a very nice lady. She quickly took control of the situation, requested some additional details and then sent a replacement to me. Even though she mentioned no "special treatment" on that replacement shipment, the fact that it arrived so fast and in pristine condition makes me suspect Betty's fingerprints were all over the handling of it. ;) Since I am using it in a ~240ft² bedroom with a window directly off of my ~40' porch, I spent some extra time designing & crafting a "security" insert for the window. I can easily remove it if I will be away from home for a period of time and just leave it in all of the time when I am home. The Euhomy 8000btu portable air conditioner does an excellent job of cooling the space with the fan on Low. I do not foresee ever having to use the High setting. It is surprising quiet, even when the compressor is on. The instructions/explanations could be better, but most operations are pretty intuitive. I really like the "soft touch" control panel. After over a decade with window air conditioners mounted in this window, even with additional attention paid to the security aspect of same, I decided that it was time to dial-up the security and try a Portable instead. So far, I am happy with both that decision and my choice of products. ==================================== 09/14/23 UPDATE : My SUMMER 2022 EUHOMY 8000btu Portable Air Conditioner IS NOW FAILING. Since I started to use it again on 07/18/23, it has gone from COLD to a little cooler than a fan (I use it for 2 hours each day; one hour prior to bed and another after getting up in the morning). This suggests to me that a coolant leak is to blame ( DUH! :) ). This is unfortunate for 2 reasons: my Warranty period expired a few months ago & I spent a LOT of time & effort crafting a "security grade" window insert to match the EUHOMY hardware (ground-level window). I will have to either buy another EUHOMY as a replacement or buy another brand and then spend massive amount of time crafting a replacement customized security window insert to match /its/ hardware. <sigh> Summer of '22 I deployed and used this system daily from 11 July until removing it at the end of September. This summer I re-installed it on 18 July and have used it every day since then. During the intervening Winter I removed it once from its boxed closet storage to run it in a/c mode it for a hour prior to running it in fan mode for a few hours to dry out the unit prior to returning it to storage. An old (ancient) habit that helps keep the internal seals oiled & "healthy". Hopefully I will be able to find a EUHOMY on-sale this Fall ... and then use the money that I saved on the sale price for one of the Warranty Extension packages that are always being offered. <sigh #2> :)
