I read a lot of recent reviews here before selecting this cooler. I was a little nervous because many people were describing various temperature problems. Then, when it arrived I learned what they were doing wrong. First and what should be obvious, this is not a typical refrigerator freezer. It doesn't work that way and wasn't designed to be that. Understanding this fact will make this product not only work for your needs but a real value. I learned that what most people do wrong is they plug it in and expect it to come down to temperature right away, empty, and in a few hours. It takes at least 24 to 36 hours for the temperatures inside to stabilize when you first plug it in. Then it mostly works like any other refrigerator freezer. The first thing you must realize is that like most refrigeration devices, it must stay upright. Often during shipping, these get turned upside down or on their side. When you get it, you need to let it stand upright, unplugged, for at least 24 hours. Then, you should load non-perishable things like water bottles into both sides, set it on Max, at the lowest temperature, and let it work. In about 8 hours at most, it comes to the temperature set and stays in the range of one to four degrees for the duration. Once the desired temp is reached, you can reset the temp higher and switch it to Eco mode. I'm using mine as a multipurpose device. I keep it plugged in inside my home, using it as an additional fridge/freezer, and when I need it for travel, I just put it in my SUV and plug it in. The construction is solid, with heavy-duty handles and wheels. The freezer side is larger than the fridge side, but both are really adequate. It has an interior light which makes it very convenient to see what's inside. It's a little on the heavy side but not a deal breaker at this price point. It's very quiet when running, but like most refrigeration devices, it puts off a little heat. One major improvement would be to reverse the operation design by putting the controls on the left side, and the "wheeling" handle on the side opposite the wheels and heavy compressor. Again, not a deal breaker. I really like the feature of the lid having a two-step tight seal. As far as temperature control is concerned, one buyer claimed he could never get the fridge to come down to safe storage temp but I think this was because he didn't give it enough time, tried to use it empty, and didn't let it set upright overnight in the beginning. Just remember, when it's delivered, let it stand for 24 hours, then plug it in, put a few non-perishable things like water and sodas on both sides, set your temp, and it will stabilize and stay there within hours. When I move mine to the SUV, it maintains the temp in a safe range so long as I don't leave it open, put hot things inside, or leave it off for too long. When you first put room-temperature things inside, it will take a few hours to bring them down to temp, so don't think it's not working. As far as cold foods go, frozen items do not defrost when first loaded, and if your food's cold to start, it stays at temp or gets colder depending on your settings. I'm very satisfied with mine. I did have to order this twice and thank goodness I ordered through Amazon. The first one I got was defective. It was super loud almost as loud as a table saw running when the compressor kicks in so I had to contact Euhomy support directly. I sent them a video and had asked me to do a couple of troubleshooting steps but didn't really fixed the issue. One thing to note, is that I think they are operating in China time so support responses are usually 12-15 hours later but they are responsive. Since I didn't order directly from their website, they just said to get a replacement process done within Amazon. It was a seamless process, I followed the prompts and had UPS pick up the item from home for free and received the replacement a few days after. I have now since tested and the difference is night and day. This is a very quiet unit. When the compressor is on you can barely hear it unless you have your ear right next to it. So now for the actual review: Noise level - couldn't get any quieter than this. If the noise level on your unit is louder than a whisper then have it replaced. This is a very quiet unit. Size/Dimension - I got the 37 quart which is the smallest they have in this model and it works perfect for me. Product dimension they have on the pictures are accurate so its easy to decide which one to get. It would really depend on if you want to store more in the cooler or how much actual space you have for the cooler in the car. Temperature - cools really fast and the ECO mode works really well. I only need about 15mins or less to get this from room temp to 30 degrees. It holds the temperature really well too especially if you already put chilled/frozen food on the cooler beforehand. Energy Consumptions - I have used this with my Jackery 500 for a 2 night camping trip no issue. It took me at least a day and half to get the Jackery down to 50% with this plugged in at all times on ECO mode. I think that is the main thing, is to always keep it on ECO mode. The compressor doesn't kick in until 5-6 degrees higher than the set temp and even with that the compressor really just runs for 5mins or less to get it to the set temperature and pulls a constant 30 watts on the Jackery. Very energy efficient but wouldn't hurt to have a way to recharge your power stations just in case. I do have one con which isn't a deal breaker and that is that even though it comes with a divider so you can have a freezer/refrigerator combo, I wish the refrigeration side was the larger side. Also, when the divider is on for the combo mode, you cannot change the temperature on the refrigeration side. Temperature can only be regulated for the freezer side. All in all, I am very happy with this product so far and the price point is just amazing for what it does. Hopefully it lasts a very long time. ... show more

Fantastic portable refrigerator and freezer, easy controls and definitely keeps food and drinks chilled and or frozen. Chill and freeze Time all within reasonable timeframe, auto tempt control will trigger to maintain proper tempt settings. If there was a minor drawback, it would be the length of the handle and perhaps the built in wheels. Handle feels a little on the short side and the wheels perhaps not large enough? The Frig/Freezer isn’t all that light especially on the motor side, add on the weight of the food and drinks, makes it slightly awkward pulling or pushing it. ... show more

Works great. Feel like directions could be clearer for operating the buttons. Heavier and a little bigger than I thought. The lifting handles could be a little better made. Oh & I didn’t realize this did not have a built in battery. So once it’s unplugged, it is off. Kinda a bummer. That’s on me though for not realizing. ... show more
