I had a couple of eufy items previously, but never a lockset. I like how they didn't try to do fancy fingerprint things, which I don't trust devices to keep anyway & would never utilize. Installation would have been 10-15 minutes except my door has a small hole and slight misalignment with the latch hole. In other words, it was very hard to push it through & align w/ the back plate once the latch is in. After 30-minutes of struggle, I finally got it to screw and fit right (again, not eufy's fault). Then, I was able to calibrate it via the app and set up my pass code. The only thing I am unsure about is whether or not the code is 'stored' in the cloud or app somewhere. I am totally fine with it being stored within the unit, but having it stored elsewhere is just another point or possibility of getting hacked. As a bonus, the package comes with a simple handle for the bottom too to open the door. Wow, this is way better than knobs when you are carrying things. You can you elbow or parts of arm to open the door. Overall looks good for interior or external doors. There's rubber gasket on both sides such that if you screw it tight, it should keep out dusk and water. The only thing I am not sure about is if there's an emergency way to open the lock if battery runs out, other units I have seen had microUSB charger you can plug in.

This is a great smart lock for many reasons: * Actual buttons — my previous smart lock had a glossy screen with digital buttons, but that screen cracked in the sun making it super hard to see the digits. Real buttons will not have that same problem. * No gateway needed! This lock has wifi built-in, which is super rare for smart locks, but I'm a big fan! * Comes with a door lever (without a lock) as well. This is great because my previous lever has a lock, and the smart lock becomes useless when the door latch is locked. * Nice looking, easy to install So far, I have a couple cons, which I hope can be resolved with fresh batteries. (I put new ones in, but the battery indicator in the app indicates they are not full/fresh) I'll update this review if the new batteries resolves the issues. * The firmware will not update… it says it will take about 18 minutes (in the app), and it gets through about 5 minutes and fails. I'm hoping it's because it needs fresh batteries. * Alexa does not work — this appears to be related to the missing firmware update, but I don't know until that problem is resolved. Google Home DOES work.

This is my second Eufy Smart product. My other is a vacuum and I just have to say, I have been completely impressed with Eufy so far. Their app is easy use. The Eufy Smark Lock C30 with Door Lever matches the matte black finish I have in my home, which was very important to me. I also didn't want a super fussy lock that was so complicated I needed someone with a degree in technical engineering to figure out how to operate it. My husband was able to install this lock in about 30 minutes. It would have been a shorter time frame, but we had wood shutters on our front door that had to be removed in order to make this work. The instructions were easy to understand, even for a guy that hates reading directions! The lever style door handle also matches the new door handles we are installing throughout our home. Once you have everything installed, just download the app and you can set up your passcode. You don't need an added bridge with this lock. It works through WiFi. It responds to voice commands through Alexa and Google Assistant. I have all Google Assistant products in my house, so this was very important to me. You can lock/unlock it from your phone, even when you aren't home. There is so much to love about this, in a simplistic design. Great job, Eufy!

Within about 15 minutes, I had the lock fully set up—no bridge required and no complicated steps. The instructions were clear, and all necessary parts were included. It even fit perfectly on my existing door setup, which I appreciated, given the sometimes frustrating nature of DIY installations. Once installed, the app control features quickly became my favorite part of this lock. The eufy Security app is intuitive and makes it easy to lock or unlock my door remotely. Whether I’m letting in guests or just double-checking that the door is locked after I’ve left, it gives me a lot of flexibility and peace of mind. The auto-lock feature is another convenient addition, especially if you’re prone to forgetting to lock up—just set your preferences, and it’ll lock the door automatically after a certain period. One standout aspect is the reliability of the WiFi connectivity. The lock responds instantly to app commands, and I haven’t experienced any connection issues, which is crucial for a security device. The sturdy build and sleek design also add to the appeal—it looks and feels like a premium product.
