My home needs to be completely rebuilt after a fire last year and when they start I wanted a way to watch while I would be at work. No electricity at the home, so no WIFI, and I didn't really want to ask my neighbors to use their WIFI. After looking at a bunch of "game" cameras I finally found this camera and I am so glad that I did! When it arrived it came with 2 micro sim cards, one a tiny bit too large for the camera. I contacted customer service via email on this & they replied quickly, but they were unsure as well. So the unused one sits in the box still. Once the sim card is installed then just download the app to your phone and it sort of walks you through what you need to do, there are no other instructions that come with the camera. I am technically challenged but I did get through it just fine. Then I had to mount it somewhere. We have a telescoping flagpole in the front yard and I was able to rig it to that. The camera came with a mount for attaching to wood, but it had holes, so I was able to use wire to attach it to the pole. Same with the solar panel. So it worked out well, even though it's a little bit crooked. It would be great if EUFY sold a mount that could fit around a round flagpole, and maybe they do, I never did ask. Once mounted and using the app I turned on the camera and am so pleased by the quality of the image! However it was always running in the background of my phone and I left it on all the time. So literally within 3 days the data that came with the sim card completely ran out and I had to buy more. Through the app I paid approx $13 for 2 MB of additional data that would last for 30 days. Then I decided to keep the camera OFF until I wanted to take a look at it. So that data lasted all month, and really I hardly used it. But then it expired at 30 days so I had to buy more. The app sent a couple of messages near the end of the 30 days and I just bought more. There are all sorts of options to choose from as far as purchasing data as well, not just 2 MB or 30 days, there are all sorts of plans. If you're using this camera for constant security or to watch for wildlife you will go through data quite a bit. But if you just want to take a look now and again do what I do and simply turn it off and on again when you want. I did ask customer service how to slow down usage when on, and they are very helpful, but for me this was the easiest way. The camera will rotate almost all the way around as well as tilt down. And the quality is so good I can read the names on the sides of trucks that are in my driveway. Photos are of my front yard, not sure why I couldn't find "front yard" in the app, but I'm sure that was just user error. Even at night it works great using a light on the front of the camera.     • Recommend for rural land with no power

We have several of these cameras on a raw land property we’re developing, and they’ve been incredibly useful for monitoring wildlife remotely and planning future fences, roads, and structures. They’ve also helped deter nosy neighbors from checking our packages and driving ATVs across the property. The image and audio quality are excellent day and night, and we’ve enjoyed watching everything from birds and rabbits to deer. Setup was quick and easy—less than 10 minutes at home to sync each camera to the app. We wrapped the cameras and attachments in camouflage duck tape bought on Amazon, cutting holes for the speakers and screws. We mounted them on trees using a ladder and the back of a pickup. While the included starter EIOT card is okay, it pushes you to upgrade. We instead purchased an annual EIOT plan directly through their website, and having access across multiple carriers is especially helpful on our rural property. Just remember to charge them overnight! Our only suggestion is to redesign the tiny screw attachment behind the solar panel. Installing it on a tall ladder while managing the camera, solar panel, and hardwired cable is unnecessarily difficult, and the cable twists as you turn the panel to secure it. A simple clip or hook would make installation much easier. Overall, a great product. We just hope the design team tests the installation process outdoors—not just in a lab—because this would be an easy fix to an otherwise excellent product. ... show more

    • Make Activity Zones Work!!!!
The camera is OK quality but pretty blurry for claiming 4K. Can't even read a license plate that's more than 10 feet away. But the one star is because I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to set activity zones that exclude the street because of too many motion detections. The system is infuriating. You have to shape one or two zones that have shape 1-2 zones that are straight line attached to 6 points. Everytime I click the point to move it the whole shape moves which of it hits an edge of the screen it shrinks. I even tried using my S Pen and the whole shape still moved. I have never seen a system this broke. The other issue is I invested in homebase and if that goes offline the camera is useless because it won't failover to WiFi. Makes no sense. *Update* Despite finally getting the street out of the activity zone the camera still triggers on every car that drives by. I have to leave it on full motion activation because it doesn't accurately identify people and animals so it was missing a lot. But now it records every reflection, shadow, and my car cover moving in the wind. I've set it to 30 seconds record, end early doesn't work as there is always still motion it's missing. It doesn't retrigger well either so I've missed a lot of people/animals moving around my property because I only see their initial movement. Example - FedEx just came to my house and threw an expensive package against my front door. The camera picked up the delivery driving sprinting towards my house and the truck driving away. What use is that?? I have Blink, Annke, and Tapo as well. The Annke is the oldest and crappy video quality but record 24/7 and just make a marker for motion events. That would be so much better but Eufy doesn't offer a 4K moveable camera with 24/7 recording. Kinda feel like I wasted a huge amount of money on this camera, the video doorbell/lock, and homebase with SSD. Sucks. The ease of installation is probably not worth the trade off of a real security system if something happens. ... show more

Love it! I installed at a job site that has terrible cell service. Our phones barely work out there but this camera is able to connect enough for us to check in when we want. It doesn’t connect immediately or all the time but it does really well for only having one bar in cell signal. I don’t have it on WiFi and it doesn’t get much sun but the battery stays above 95% so far. I highly recommend this camera. ... show more

I set three of these Eufy camera up, along with two other comparable brands of camera that I purchased to monitor my rural lot in a high-crime, no-wifi, low cell-signal area. My reasoning was to try different brands that look different in order to confuse any observant thieves about how many cameras I have, and to have the different ones watch each other just in case. That was only a week ago, so right off the bat all I can say is these Eufy work as advertised pretty much right out of the box- with easy, clear instructions. By comparison, the other brands- and one of those cameras was over twice as expensive as this Eufy model- I had to troubleshoot endlessly, and that most expensive one stopped working after four days- and I can’t figure out why. All the cameras I bought advertise similar capabilities, functions and services, but this LTE S330 delivers far more reliable monitoring, while I have to keep checking if the others are even on, because 30% of the time they don’t catch me when I walk or drive right past their view. The Eufy ones see and track me 100% of the time. So for someone like me, who does not appreciate being frustrated by technology, and based on my few days of use, I completely recommend this Eufy model. The only thing that kind of bugs me about it is that it’s brilliant white and I’m trying to hide these camera from being immediately spotted because I want to catch the A-holes who’ve been robbing me, not just deter them. But I bought them anyway based on others’ recommendations, figuring they could be the sacrificial ones while the other brands with the camo color would catch anybody tampering with the Eufy. Now I think I’ll just have to paint these Eufy to match the tree and buildings, because they work so much more reliably. ... show more

    • Excellent Remote Camera
This camera is excellent. The solar panel does a great job of keep the battery charged - I've never seen it less than 75% charged. The video quality over cellular is far better than I expected. I'm not sure if it's the full 4K, but it certainly looks like it. I have 4 out 5 bars consistently on the cellular, which does make a difference. The motion detection is also great and it's ability to follow people is very good. The only downside for me is the "privacy block", which is the only way to keep motion detection triggering on an area of vegetation (moving tall grass), which I don't want. The privacy block does what it implies and puts a black box on the viewing screen when I'm only trying to block the motion sensor not actually blocking for privacy. I have been using this as a job site security camera for a year and it has worked perfectly. It’s very easy to mount in any location. A really nice feature is the solar panel can be mounted separately with the included wire (plenty of length) so that it gets maximum sun exposure. I have the camera mounted to a temp power pole and the panel is mounted on the opposite side where it is in the sun for longer periods of time. It has never lost power. In fact, the camera battery is almost always full. The ability to pan and tilt is convenient. The AI motion detection is a nice feature as it recognizes when there is a human or vehicle. Night view is pretty good. Enough to see when someone is on site when they shouldn’t be and sound quality is good enough to hear a conversation near the camera. The cellular service through EIOTCLUB is solid. The cost is $7.00 per month for 500MB which has been sufficient for me but could be low if the camera is being monitored frequently. I check mine when there is motion approximately once a day on average just to see who is on site. I believe there are higher data tiers if more data is needed. I will certainly continue using this camera and will likely purchase more as needed for multiple locations. ... show more

    • Will not pair with enabled VPN
Generally the camera is good - it comes from Anker, which is a well-known brand on the US market. I had the pairing issues due to the enabled VPN on my phone - I use VPN for all apps I use. The Eufy phone app doesn't work properly in that case, and the camera cannot be paired at all. So, I had to enable a split tunneling for the Eufy app to continue paring. After that is stated working fine. So, please fix the pairing issue and operating with the mobile app with the enabled VPN - for a privacy-concerned customers it is important. I also couldn't find a zoom feature in the camera app to set it up permanently a bit closer to my point of interest. And this is not a real 4K resolution: faces of humans or big animals catched by the camera cannot be recognized - they're blurry. Also, another issue is to play recorded videos: sometimes they don't appear in the app after the triggered notification was received - I have to refresh the Events section several times or "kill" the app and launch it again. And once an appeared video clip starts playing for a couple seconds, the camera app crashes, so there is no way to watch the recorded videos in the app - I need to download them first to watch on my phone. Another brand's 4G LTE cheap camera sitting at my backyard has no such issues. I tried to buy a cloud storage to save the recorded videos there, trying to mitigate the saved videos playing issue, but when I tap the mobile app button to buy the storage - I am redirecting to Google home page. Another issue is that sometimes the notifications come late, in 5 - 10 minutes after the camera catches the motion. Today I missed a UPS courier to talk - I received a notification on his presence just in about five minutes, and he has already gone out picked my packages. Recently, I was contacted via my email by somebody pretending to be an Eufy Customer Support with a message having weird tracking attachments allowing sender to track the recepient's IP address and some other personal sensitive information, and having "Amazon" in the email subject. I never open such weird emails which mainly come from shady senders keeping an eye on people's reviews and harvesting the real customer's personal data. For the real support from Amazon sellers they usually use messaging in the Amazon app. So, if any support wants to contact customers - please use the official Amazon way. Thanks. ... show more
