I got these at a steal because they were "renewed" and I could not even see where anyone had them before me getting them. We have Vivint and will be going to our own system so we started buying what we will need over time instead of doing it all at once. These cameras are great!! Clear picture and they pick up on everything. I do not have children in the home nor do I have pets so I can not speak on pet detection or baby crying features but I can say that everything else that we have set to detect does it perfectly. You can also adjust the sensitivity level for the detection and also set a schedule. they are perfect for us. I included a screenshot of the 2 that I got. The pictures are with no lights on and early in the morning before my blinds are even open and the clarity is great!!! ... show more

    • Nighttime monitoring of elderly parent
My husband and I have been caring for my elderly mother in our two story home for about 6 weeks now. We purchased the cameras to enable us to care for her at night, as her room is downstairs and ours is upstairs. We have each downloaded the Eufy app to our phones and turned on notifications. At night we simply plug in the camera which gives us a full view of her bedroom (we love the wide range view!), open the app on a phone, and turn up the volume. Notifications alert us with a tone to any activity, as well as allows us to hear her call for assistance. We will also be hiring outside help for night shift and day care when we must be away to our appointments or such, and we hope the app will make it possible to actively monitor or communicate with the caregiver. We’ll be strategically placing cameras throughout our home at this point. We plan to do multiple tests at various distances and locations to make sure we’re able to do this before purchasing more cameras. We also purchased an Echo Show monitor on the advice of friends who use it with their eufy cameras for external and internal security monitoring while away from home. We will be contacting Amazon or our friends for help finalizing set up - we’re not highly technical people and are having a bit of trouble getting the Echo monitor to stay on all night like our phone app does. If we aren’t able to use the Echo overnight, we have considered purchasing the Eufy baby monitor, which our daughter has and highly recommends. We’re slowly getting things arranged as we need for our situation, and so far we’re very pleased with our Eufy cameras. ... show more

I'm using these to keep an eye on a loved one who often forgets to use her walker. The camera does and excellent job of identifying humans and ignoring pets. It pings me whenever she is getting up out of her chair or moving around. This allows me to be in the other rooms of the house and still provide the needed reminders to keep her safe. It's easy to turn off the reminders when I'm in the same room. The field of view is amazing. One camera in the corner of the dining room covers the entire kitchen, dining room, and most of the living room. The second one looks down the hall to monitor comings and goings from the bathroom and bedroom. Don't forget to order an SD card. Euphy has a list of compatible cards on their website, but I've found other brands will work. I've got a total of 5 Euphy cameras (3 outside and 2 inside). The app allows sorting the recorded events by camera, so it's easy to focus on the area of interest. I like that there is no subscription, all the data is stored locally, and the wi-fi transmissions are encrypted to prevent 'eavesdropping'. ... show more

    • Best camera for the dollar
The media could not be loaded. I've purchased 3 of these cameras to monitor activity in our garage. Once you buy the SD card they do a good job at recording people who come plainly into view. If the subjects are farther away the recordings are a bit more unpredictable. When using "motion alerts", lighting changes are categorized as motion which can be frustrating. At the same time, the detection doesn't always capture the first few seconds. The human-detection is not good enough to completely rely on for home security, some humans are not detected. Ultimately, the motion alerts capture more events than you want but that's better than missing something. However, because the alerts have too many false positives, I haven't felt confident using the automatic alarm feature. Within 20 feet people are recognizable and the police have been interested, at farther distances, it is hard to make out specific features. As you can see in the video, the camera also serves as a bit of detergent and already saved me more than the price of the cameras. I don't think it's realistic to expect that the phone will wake you up if there's a burglar. It might, but the phone notifications don't repeat and they aren't always loud enough. ... show more
