THE ‘Eufy’ EXPERIENCE: • Add to your Cart and Stalk I randomly found for $149 on lightening deal ⚡️and would’ve bought 2 white (hard to find) if I’d known it’d be this perfect (will update— always do if there any surprises and adjust Star Rating/Review). • Arrives quickly and I was certain it’d be another return and so far it has been the best out of 7 Robotic Vacuums in 3 Years thus far. • The 1st charge (extremely important to NOT turn-on without fully charging) is unbelievably FAST for a Robotic Vacuum. I actually received it before heading to the airport and could not believe I was able to test it fully changed before I was out the door in a rush! • I really appreciate that this is a FOREVER vacuum, unlike competitors Eufy by Anker this is the perfect option you can keep forever because they offer a replacement battery for $22 PRIME and an ON/OFF switch underneath I have never seen ever (to conserve battery life). I much rather pay $22 PRIME than be FORCED to buy a whole new vacuum which is extremely common in the robotic vacuum industry. Electronic products are made this way and die around the end of the warranty IF lucky and not 3 months (I've been through this 3 times) and force you to buy an entire new unit when you just pop a new battery in. Have fun with that if you skip. You will be back! • The batter offer replacement is way better than spending another $500 on avg. and it is designed in a way you just pop to in. So crazy and wasteful the robotic vacuum industry can is. Super impressed. • Eufy runs for 100 minutes of cleaning time when the Ultra Smart Vac’s need a full 12-24 hour charge before a test/cleaning and an industry standard of 30-40 minutes of cleaning time. • Eufy is THE ONLY ROBOTIC VACUUM TO ALWAYS FIND ITS WAY HOME TO DOCK AND RECHARGE— EVERY SINGLE TIME! Mind blown! I've only had one of many vacuums actually find it's way back and dock a total of 3 times. They ALWAYS claim it goes to it's Home/Charging Dock, yet never do! I simply cannot believe it! • It has a clever On/Off underneath which will help conserve your vacuums longevity if you do so choose. Something I have never seen and would’ve not appreciated until now after all the expensive duds. • In the video it sounds loud, yet not at all as loud as my other’s. It sounds like a blade less Dyson Fan if you are familiar. i.e Smooth Air Blowing • The accessories like extra filter, sweepers (the highest quality I have ever seen as they tend to arrive bent), comb with cutting tool (should be used everyday you run it and is extremely common with all Vacuums as of yet), etc. • Easy manuals no weird or bad grammar to scare you off that is all too common now. • The sensor is as common as all it will bump things just like a very expensive Vac and is very alert to People and Animals. (Updated has better sensory than any of my other 7 adventures, yeah still bumps but now notice not nearly as much as all other brands). • I am so used to Vacuums never ever finding their way “Home”, so why set a cleaning schedule. Pointless. Eufy you can confidently. • The simplest way to ensure it always finds its way home is to make sure all cables/wires are not on the floor which is common knowledge to Robotic Vacuum owners. No, it won’t destroy cables it will simply shut off and need to be manually docked otherwise your set for a cleaning schedule. • Far too many Smart Vacuums are just too thick to clean under platform beds and furniture and if they cannot fit under I am just not interested. Why have one if it’s not going to do “Spring Cleaning” everyday and keep your home fresh, dust mite and dust bunny 🐰 free? It’s by far one of the most desired features speaking for myself. • My most preferred Vacuum’s have been By Eco Vac’s DeeBot Pro’s (owned 3) most are slim enough to get under most everything and they mop (I don’t like my area rugs mopped so, only tired that once) they have several issues, but have been the Top for me since Eufy which I highly prefer to my Eco Vac M83 PRO that I will be giving away if Eufy keeps up being superior. • Area Rugs... Eufy is highly intelligent when it comes to area rugs from thick to thin (also carpet). My once preferred Vac was okay, but would always have a the toughest time on thin rugs by flipping them and dragging them, also trying to climb her high sheep pelts and getting stuck. Eufy is super smart with its sensor to stay away from fluffy pelts (those are dry clean and sheep pelt brush) AND thin and high pile rugs Eufy has ZERO ISSUE when cleaning. Just AMAZING. • Also, excellent for finding a diamond earring you dropped etc., yes, I absolutely use it to FIND Small Impossible things without damaging! • I feel this covers all the major bases and is an excellent Vacuum I have waited several years for. Simple, slim, intelligent, and still cannot believe it runs over an hour and always always finds its way home to reboot and APPS have no become way overrated and a pain in the butt! Eufy Compared To Ultra Smart $$$$ Vacs: • I have owned 7 Smart Robotic Vacuums; the highest priced being the “Ultra Smart” Neato (returned after nearly a month of nonsense) with Home Mapping Technology at $1K. Sorry, the bigger, thicker, wider, and SMARTER it claims to be in my experience the more dumb it is. It becomes more of a chore meaning you have to reset the map every single time you move something and they are so thick they can cannot get all the dust and debris under furniture like Eufy does effortlessly. • Eufy cleans for 100 mins & always and I mean always finds its way home (something I was always promised, but they never returned even when commanded) so you can truly set a cleaning schedule! • While most all Smart Vac’s claim to dock and charge on their yet ALWAYS alert you over and over that they are stuck or have to be searched for with app, yet, Eufy is always obedient and doesn’t even need that function!I have only seen Eco Vacs find its way home 2x in 3 years now after 3 models (of that brand), Neato never, Dyson Eye never ever again! • It is proven that Vacuums that run in straight carpet lines are less efficient at cleaning. Hard to believe, but random has proven to out clean the $1,000 USD Plus Vacs. • If I had known it’d always do a no nonsense cleaning without me having to follow it I would’ve withdrew doubt and ordered 2 at $143. • Eufy keeps it Simple, Sleek, Very Slim (gets under virtually EVERYTHING and ANYTHING you can imagine compared to Neato and other very high priced Robo Vacuums that cannot even get under a platform bed and other low profile furniture meaning dust will continue to pile up). One Con (maybe I missed it) no phone app to control while away. If so DO NOT LOSE THE REMOTE. I may be wrong. I am writing a review after a 3 day trip that I set a cleaning schedule to VERY IMPRESSIVELY FIND EUFY Nearly FULL BIN Scheduled to clean once a day while away FOR 3 DAYS (house is always clean) and sitting at its docking station. An Easy 5-Stars Buy Eufy and forget the hype over these Ultra “Dumb” expensive Vacs that do Nothing, but turn you into a Vacuum Babysitter! I would seriously have to follow a $400-1k vacuum around. Yes, this is a huge deal to me after never having this experience with purchasing so many Ultra Smart crazy expensive vacuums. If you are sick of babysitting your smart cleaning devices this simple, slim, chic vacuum is the Answer! Update August 15th 2019 WOW this would be 10 stars if the option was available! The sensory oddly seems to have improved. Has now problem cleaning BIG messes. Eufy has a crazy “hop” and still intelligent enough to avoid my sheep rugs that insanely fluffy and vacuuming is forbidden for care. Perfect. It does not flip, move around very thin rugs, or get stuck under them a common issue with super expensive smart Robo Vacuums! It continues to impress! I pick this Eufy over all of my ultra Smart experiences. I could careless about apps! The remote is great and if lost it automatically turns on with a press to it’s Mac suction and gets the job done better than iRobot, Neato, Dyson Eye, several ECOVACS Pro’s, etc.. Save your money, time, and hassle of the Smart (dumb) options. I no longer have to follow an over-priced Robo around, get alerts it’s stuck, haven’t had to use a smart beeping tracker to track it down. It buy far has the best built-in features to schedule and forget. The only TRUE robotic vacuum you do not have to even think about turn on or schedule and forget about. The only thing it’s missing is to dump itself out! Mind blown! Finally, a Robo Vac that does exactly what you’d expect. Forget the hype or when your over all the overpriced Vac’s you WILL return or just die on you save this! This is the first robotic vacuum I've owned, and so far, I'm thoroughly impressed with it. After reading reviews for many different brands/models, I ended up choosing the "dumber" Ankler Eufy model that just has the infrared remote since the smarter, app-controlled models only worked through a cloud app. Yuck. The remote is intuitive and has decent range and coverage, so the few times I've needed to manually drive the robovac have been trouble-free. I also like not having to launch an app or worry about spotty wifi/internet outages affecting my ability to control the vac. The price was also really reasonable considering the features, performance, and other positive reviews. I've got two large dogs, mostly hardwood upstairs, a single room with linoleum, medium pile carpet in the bedrooms, low pile carpet in the basement, and various low/medium pile rugs. This thing does well on all of them (except the shaggy bathroom mat, but that's to be expected). It's a total lifesaver as I was usually vacuuming daily and there was still dog hair all over the place. After an initial charge, during which time I ran the regular upright vacuum, I let it run two cleaning cycles on the first day, and each time it came back with a mostly full dust bin. I was both impressed and grossed out by all that it picked up *after* a regular vacuuming. PROS: * This thing is super quiet. I typically leave it on "Auto" mode where it only sets the vacuum to max when it thinks it needs it, and even then, it's no louder than the tower fan I keep on at night for ambient noise. If it goes under a couch or bed, you often can't hear it at all until it resurfaces. I scheduled it to clean at 6am, and it cleaned under my bed without waking me. Love waking up to freshly vacuumed floors. * Its edge cleaning mode is fantastic. I usually keep ceiling fans on 24/7, so any dog hair/lint on the hardwood tends to accumulate into tumbleweeds along the baseboards. If you set it to edge clean cycle, it'll find a wall and follow it all the way around the house, room to room. Doing that every day manually was extremely tedious, and this little robot does it with aplomb. Having two side brushes is also welcome so that it cleans a path along the edge in addition to the edge itself. It also works really well around appliances (refrigerator, oven, etc) and will pull in dust/hair/crumbs from slightly underneath them. * It's incredibly thin and can clean under all of my furniture. Under my couch, desk, entertainment center, and bed have never been cleaner as they are difficult to move to clean underneath. The wand on my upright vacuum could only partially clean under these, but this bot has no issues as long as any cables are picked up and out of the way. * Battery life is decent and within the advertised range. I've gotten between an hour and two hours of cleaning time, depending on how often it had to kick the vacuum to max. The stated average runtime is 100 minutes, and I've seen both less and more than that, so no complaints with the battery life. The battery is also easily replaceable as the lithium battery will inevitably degrade and need replacement at some point. * It has decent obstacle detection and avoidance, but still bumps into things from time to time. Most of the time, it will stop/steer clear of obstacles without physically bumping into them. However, it doesn't seem to pick up any dark colored obstacles like my espresso coffee and end tables, black bed frame, or black refrigerator; it tends to need to bump into those before it detects their proximity. Still, it always seems to gently tap them versus ramming into them full throttle, so I haven't noticed any dents/dings/scratches from its use. I've also got many large houseplants on the floor, and it cleans/navigates around their bases very well without knocking them over. * In auto mode, it seems to take the most random path it can find. e.g. it will enter a room and make one swipe before leaving and coming back later for another pass. However, this is pretty normal for robo vacs from what I've read (at least the ones that don't have advanced mapping). That said, it does still provide excellent coverage over time, especially when run on schedule or twice daily. More specialized modes likes edge and spot cleaning are quite thorough, though. This isn't going to replace your regular vacuum, but it's not meant to. I used to run the upright vacuum daily to keep up with the dogs. Now, I can do a full vacuum once a week or so and let this little guy maintain in between, and in that, it is doing a great job. * The dust bin, pre-filter, and foam filter are all washable with water which is great. The only part that can't be is the fine air filter. I'm not sure if the dust bin is dishwasher safe, but a quick spray from the sink sprayer is usually sufficient. CONS: Most of the "cons" are petty things, hence the 5-star review. Just figured I'd mention them to round out my experience. * The side brushes don't appear to be incredibly resilient. After about 6 or 7 cleaning cycles, they started to curve outward against the direction of spin. I'm not sure how negatively this impacts its cleaning ability, but I figured they would last a little longer (I am still using them, and it's still doing a good job, so I guess I'll find out). It did come with two spares, which is nice, but I'm a little concerned about how often I might need to re-order replacements. Considering I've never owned a robovac before, this could just be par for the course, so I'm not going to knock any stars off the review for it at this time. * The "remove before use" sticker didn't peel all the way off and left some ugly residue on the top (nothing a little Goo Gone can't fix). While very sleek, it's also a fingerprint magnet, so keep a tack cloth on hand if keeping it shiny is important to you. * It's not a huge gripe considering I purposely chose a dumber model to avoid having to rely on an app (which does have this feature), but I wish the scheduler was a little more advanced. The scheduler on this model is about as smart as a clock radio from the days of yore, only allowing a fixed time for it to run every day. Having an option for day of the week or the option for a second schedule (e.g. run once in morning, once in evening) would be nice. * The base has a little space for the remote to sit in, but I'm unsure if the remote has to be in that or otherwise within line of sight of the vac to start it on schedule. The one time I left the remote in another room, it didn't start on schedule the next day, though that could have been operator error on my part since that was the first day I had it. I've since left the remote in the caddy on the base, and it's run on schedule since. My concern with that would be the dog deciding the remote would make a good chew toy. Directions do not mention anything along those lines and imply the remote just programs the bot to start at that time. * The base is a little light, and even against a wall, the vac would sometimes push the base to a weird angle and be unable to dock. I noticed this when I had the base in the living room on the hardwood. I've since moved the base to a carpeted room against a wall, and it hasn't been an issue. So, I do wish the base were a little heavier and/or the rubber strips on the bottom had more grip. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this vacuum. It's not the smartest model out there, but for the price, it has an excellent feature set, does a great job, and doesn't have to connect to the cloud. A small number of other reviewers mentioned issues started cropping up 6-8 months after purchase, so time will tell whether I encounter any issues. Those reviewers also said Ankler has excellent customer service, so while that's great, I hope I don't have to reach out to them. So far, though, I'm highly impressed and may purchase another for downstairs so I don't have to carry it back and forth. ... show more
