First and foremost, Instruction writer guy should be fired asap, but if you've ever put something together before you can figure it out in about 15 min. Get some silicone to help secure the outer piece, the shitty plastic string that holds it, I wouldn't trust to travel down a school zone without losing one. I used 1 heavy duty zip tie on each for now, cuz I didn't have silicone and I dont have time at the moment to correct that. Easy peasy later and you can't see it anyway. Seems sturdy once in place, time will tell. If it fails on my road trip in a few weeks i'll update this. For the price seems worth it. Satisfied. ... show more

It fits our 2022 highlander hybrid. Install only took a few minutes, pretty straight forward without a the manual since each mount is labeled for front/rear/left/right. The machining and cutting left a lot of leftover debris within the bars but it's no big deal since it didn't affect the install. The mount covers can be attached to a plastic tether on the mount incase it ever pops off so you won't lose it as easily. It looks like the OEM crossbar on the road and you can probably only tell it's aftermarket if you know what you're looking for up close. This was mainly for cosmetic use but I would trust mounting a fair amount of stuff with this ... show more

All and all about what I expected. Worth the money and didn’t have to pay Toyota $300 for them. Install was not bad, keep the screws that hold the cross bar to the feet a little loose and tighten them last when on vehicle. Also it seems the biggest complaint was the feet covers coming loose, which I can see why. I put three globs of silicone on each before putting in place which will keep them from flying off yet allow me to remove in the future if need be. See pics. ... show more

Okay, I just finished “15 minute” (aka 45 min.) installation so let me try to summarize my thoughts: 1) Package - very good with all parts protected. No spare nuts or screws, though; 2) Instructions - if you’re not used to DYI, forget it. That one page with small drawings will not help you; 3) Quality - at first glance looks good, but as soon as I started to install, one of those plastic nut holders broke while I was PRE-tightening. Glad I had a big metal washer that I could use to continue installation. Plastic covers doesn’t feel very sturdy therefore I understand why they have a plastic tie to prevent it to fly away if it detaches on the fly; 4) Overall impression: in my opinion it serves only as decoration - I’m personally skeptical to put any weight on those bars; Obviously I’m a bit disappointed but will update review after a couple of weeks, hopefully mentioning that bars are still in place.... ... show more

The cross rails and roof mounts are very well made. Unfortunately the plastic cover doesn't fit well. The added ziptie-like lanyard afterthought probably saved someones job, keeping the cover flopping in the wind so it doesn't disappear. The plastic inserts attaching the cross rails should not be expected to handle the stress. Check your load often. Whoever did the instruction sheet should be fired. ... show more

These bars are about 25% of what the Toyota dealership was going to charge me. I was please with everything but the directions. I am moderately handy and can figure things out. There are some videos posted by others so I suggest viewing them prior to installation. It would also be easier with two people vice and I recommend either caulking or using silicone to there the decorative caps down. I am not confident the plastic tethers would hold over time. ... show more
