  • It's a portable 80lb weight - perfect for travellers.
Weight: 79.0 Pounds
Covid took the gym away from me, and I haven't gone back. Instead, I've been doing body-weight exercises at home. This only goes so far though, and I need extra tools to support progression. I decided to go for this, and not an actual weight because I normally spend about several months on the road each year, which disrupts my normal routines if I don't have portable tools. I bought the 80lb version and filled it up to 65lbs to allow for some weight progression. I used a bathroom scale to figure out the weight. The filling up process was painful using the recommended method. The water displaces the air, so you have to give it regular degassing during the filling up process. Adding 65lbs of water took 25 minutes using the blue tube. I imagine there are better ways of doing it, but the manufacturer's recommended method is definitely far from optimal. With that said, it's a portable weight. This whole "it's better if it's not stable to allow for core stabilizing muscles" thing sounds like bro science to me. I couldn't find a single paper that corroborated that, so I wouldn't get too caught up in it, despite what some workout influencer might have said. Instead, see it as a portable weight, which admittedly, does need some creative innovation for filling up solutions if you plan to empty and refill it regularly. Another reviewer mentioned using a hosepipe, I'll probably buy a small section of hosepipe for this specific purpose. If you plan to leave water in it for a while, add a couple of tablespoons of bleach when filling it up to sanitise the water. It will help a lot and reduce the chances of nasty stuff growing on the inside. Regarding the instability component, I didn't find it too bad, to be honest. You shouldn't really be swinging this around, regardless of the efficacy of stabilising muscles. You'll end up with a major injury if you did. I didn't really find any more difficult to lift or use than a regular weight and the sloshing wasn't a huge problem for normal movements. It is a little wide, the bag, so it is more challenging when doing squats with it, as it doesn't sit on your shoulders, meaning your lats are holding this thing up the whole time. But hey, it's an extra workout component! No issues of leaking, the quarter-turn valve cover that keeps it all together seems fine and much more sturdy than I thought it would have been. The handles are fine and the different angles cover all you need. Overall, build quality, reliability and lack of leakage are all top-notch. #wasitworthit score: 9/10 For me, this is a great tool. It's the heaviest and biggest I could find and will do perfectly on my leg and glutes workouts for my travelling home workout system. ... show more

  • Good morning IG
Weight: 45.0 Pounds
The media could not be loaded. Good morning IG! Yesterday I took delivery of my @dimokusa 79lb Aqua Bag. I already have the 45lb bag. These bags are exceptionally well constructed. The handles are few, but very well placed and by far my favorite handles I've found on any sandbag. Super comfortable. It doesn't leak at all (other water devices have) and is very ruggedly constructed. I filled the bag with 70lbs of water to leave some room for the water to create some instability. Which is the whole point of this tool. The exercise I'm doing here is a clean into a thruster with a single leg raise. I do this to narrow the base of support and more effectively engage the core while trying to keep the water quiet. Dynamic stability is not often mentioned as a fitness goal, but developing it pays huge dividends in life and sport. These Aqua Bags are excellent tools for all aspects of fitness. Including many that most people never think of. They are also the best bang for the buck that I know of. Outstanding value! Looking capable and being capable are two very different things. I also own the 45lb Aqua Bag. Same great quality and versatility! ... show more

  • Fantastic, durable, and easy to use bag that works as advertised!
Weight: 45.0 Pounds
This bag is great! It was very easy to fill and the instructions that came with it are perfectly clear and well written. The Dimok bag seems extremely durable and I've had no problems what so ever with it, despite treating it rougher than I should. The water moving in the bag when i'm working out out is easy to adapt to and I can definitely feel muscles that don't get as much use being worked to stabilize my body. I use this bag for a full workout routine almost every day and I love it! ... show more

  • Durable, good product, takes forever to fill up
Weight: 45.0 Pounds
As the title says, the thing is good. I throw it around, I drop it, and it's got good weight. I use it at home to lift when I need 45 pounds or so. But it took almost an hour to fill up because the little tube for water to go in is tiny and I had to hold it above the thing the whole time. Maybe if it came with some sort of funnel or adapter to fit a hose? It would be perfect. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it takes forever to load and is leaky during the process. But would recommend if you can get past that fact. ... show more

  • Review of Aqua Bags
Weight: 79.0 Pounds
I first learned of aqua bags and their application to athletic development via Chris Korfist in his training of sprinters. I soon realized there can be many applications that spread to many athletes. Bang for your buck I suppose, but the bucks some other online retailers were charging were a bit pricey in my opinion. So I figured, I’m a Prime member, search amazon. The searches were over run with aqua bags for boxing and other such endeavors, until I came across the pic guy lunging with a sandbag looking device. Eureka!!! Then I looked at the price and compared to the other retailers I was searching, double Eureka!!! I was able to purchase one large size and small size one for just over the price of one of the competitors. Given the extra benefit of prime shipping and I knew it was a win win. After a couple of weeks of using them on my guinea pigs (my self and-select clients) I feel like a stumbled on to an excellent tool that helps me stay true to my training philosophy of at hletic based strength and conditioning. Everything from Olympic lift variations, to carried, to get make things that much harder and often get the “what the hell!” response immediately after setting it down. Effective training challenge as well as a functional novelty make for a better sell. 5 stars to Dimok! ... show more
