Like most 405nm resins this one does smell bad, but I did not find it any worse than the other resins I've used. I used it for curved light bar to bracket adapters for my Jeep Wrangler. While prototyping I used cheaper resins and they inevitably crack when I was tightening them. The final adapters made with this resin did not crack and have held fast even with some harsh off road driving. I used an AnyCubic Photon Mono printer and had some troubles initially because my slicer software was buggy and was outputting a 20 second exposure instead of a 2 second exposure. After switching back one version of the software I had no problems at all using the Photon Mono's recommended 2s exposure. I did find that you have to really shake this stuff and over-exposure resulted in sludge, but once I fixed the exposure and shook it really good I had no problems. One negative is the container does not poor well because of the spout and it is really messy with resin running down the sides after the bottle is recapped and put aside so make sure you put something under it. ... show more

Absolutely fantastic resin. Prints very sturdy and fast (3s exposure for 50um layer on phrozen mini 4k). Strength is way better than the cheap stuff. I even tried making a screwdriver bit, it failed as expected but fun to push the limit. Very pretty color too. Very easy to print with nFEP film. For the first time I'm using the "light" support default size in chitubox and SFSG. EDIT (3 mos later) Changed from 5⭐ to 3⭐. I used this resin to print some slow watering spikes to attach to water bottles. The object is used in a planter box and below the soil level so it is exposed to moisture from the soil and from the water it transports. After using it for a few weeks I went to unscrew it from the water bottle and it just fell apart. Also the spike part became flexible like a limp noodle. I wish this problem was made clear. I still would have purchased it but wouldn't have wasted some on unsuitable purposes. It's still good tough resin that's easy to print. It's a bit tricky to post-process too, it usually remains sticky despite long cure or thorough washing. Good Luck and happy printing. ... show more

I am getting beautiful, highly accurate prints from this resin. I'm seeing little if any shrinkage, and the parts seem to be maintaining flex, even after a test I do where I over-cure the supports. I did notice some pigment clumps in the resin, but they don't seem to have affected my prints so far. I wish the gray was a little darker shade, but that's a matter of preference. The smell is definitely on the stinkier side of stinky. But I'd recommend having charcole filters for your printer, regardless. I've included my printing profile for the Elegoo Mars 2. It's a direct copy of the profile I've had nothing but success with for EPAX Hard. Update: I spoke too soon I guess. One of my latest prints has a cosmetic and physical blemish as a result of one of the pigment spots. I continue to use this resin, being more careful to remove the pigment spots, but eSun should definitely fix this. Update 2: I found that after several days, this resin does grow quite brittle like the others. Avantek Eupheng high strength resin is the only one I've tested so far that doesn't get brittle after a while, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be available presently. ... show more

Is it just me, or was the eSun bottle designed by the Devil himself? First thing, I shredded a glove and my flesh on those sharp teeth on the cap's lock ring, ouch! Then I tried pulling out the shipping plug... broke the pull ring, plug didn't budge. Finally got it out though. Put the big cap back on, shook the bottle, and YUK it leaked all over. The cap bottoms out on that lock ring thing and doesn't seal on top, resin splooged out all over. So I have to stuff the stubborn shipping plug back in every time I want to do the cocktail shaker thing. Oy. BUT: The resin itself is GREAT! Tested the exposure time on my Anycubic Mono, and it seemed great over the wide range of my RERF test, 3.0 - 5.4s for normal 50u layers. I have run several prints, all came out clean and without flaw (printing at 30°C). And the stuff is strong, as advertised. But that cap, that knocks a star off, a true pain to deal with. ... show more

So this resin has some good and some bad issues. First it is strong, I used this to print the parts to upgrade my FDM printer to the BLV upgrade. That parts are strong, support the forces put on them by the belts, and have held up. It stuck to the plate well. Now for the bad. I never did get settings that gave me results that matched any of my normal resins. There is crud in the bottle, and I HIGHLY recommend filtering it as you pore it into your vat after a vigorous 5 min shaking session. The resin likes to warp during printing so I recommend adding extra supports. The family also says this one stinks more than some of the other resins I have used. If I had a need again for "tough" simple parts, I would look around for other alternatives, but at the same time, if this was still toughest I could find I would use it again. If I needed Tough and details, I would look at another resin. ... show more

    • Prints subpar, but strong, bottle is prone to leaking and loose particulates in the resin.

The print quality is satisfactory, but there were floating particulates in the resin, which I gathered to be loose pigment. And during shaking the bottle to try and mix them back in, the cap began to leak onto my hand. After several prints, color and opacity are not consistent, probably due to the loose pigments. Edit: after using about half the bottle, none of my prints are dimensionally accurate, despite using the recommended settings. The color isn't as depicted, even after thorough mixing, which because of the bottle cap, was a little mess to clean up. Color yellows significantly after 3 minutes of curing in a curing machine. Upward faces, even ones with less than 45°, are not accurate and bumpy. For $50, it's not worth it, I would not recommend. The only redeeming quality is that after proper post processing, the print is very hard and durable. ... show more
