Based on the same reviews' suggestions, I bought a 3 inch thick twin long mattress pad to put on it. My grandson has slept on it for for 3 weeks now and said it is very comfortable. I absolutely love the color yellow. I’m not a big fan of the fabric. It is a little rough and itchy. They’re not the most comfortable. They are stiff and sturdy for sure. It was in two boxes, they were not that heavy. At first it was kind of strange to follow the instructions so I saw one of the videos that are attached in the item description and I understood how it was supposed to be done,even though it was for a different model than mine. The fabric is soft to touch, seems like some type of leather. I was able to assamble it by myself, I am a 51 short woman. It doesn't have a super thick cushion but if you need something more soft you can add a memory foam cover for sleeping, for those who like firm mattress it would be fine. It is a decent sofa chair bed for the price. The storage mechanism works really nicely, pulls up and out in about 10 seconds, so that is nice. It's not comfortable to sleep by itself on as you can feel the metal structure through the pads, but I found a 4" thick folding pad that is narrow enough (narrow twin) and guests gave it a thumbs up. For sitting, it's workable, a little too firm and I usually prefer things on the firm side. I find it more comfortable in the chaise position than the chair. The back end is a bulkier heavier structure than I realized, not a deal breaker but not super pretty when it has to face a walkway.
