This is a solid compact expresso machine that takes Nespresso original pods and others like Peets. This is great because I did not want to mess around tamping or spilling fine grounds. I love the pods. You do have a choice with this machine. I am a beginner latte maker and the booklet was so easy to follow along. This Jassy only makes two shot sizes, single and double. The booklet describes a method to customize the volume, but I haven't tried it. Also there is no adjustable cup size; you can remove the silver tray cover and slide a larger 12 ounce cup in tray or just use 7 oz double-wall cups. I made a Peets Crema Scura and the frother worked fast and hot and frothed over the 12 oz pitcher, so next time I used a 20 oz pitcher and had no mess with vanilla almond milk. The portafilter gave me no problems . I placed it in my right palm to install it under the coffee outlet til it clicked up evenly, then I placed my left forearm across the top cover, lean slightly to hold machine still while the right hand on handle moves the handle all the way to the right to get it into the position. I've had no problems this way and no leaks. You will know your steam, coffee, or hot button buttons are in the right spot when the light in front flashes. Learning is fast with this machine and it is worth the money. It's quality manufactured and you get to use aluminum pods instead of plastic. I'm really glad I bought this machine. OOPS = Do Not Buy This is an update to the above comments. I did not give this product the test of time. I only made approximately 12 to 15 expresso coffees and then it stopped working! There is no phone number in the manual to reach company. There is a sticker on the side of machine (which ruins the look of stainless steel) with a QR code which only brings you to You Tube video "How to repair JS105 water coming out of the steam wand". Over 600 people watched it so there must be lots of problems with this cheap machine. I followed the video over and over and never could get the machine to pump out expresso coffee, it only pumped the whole tank of water out of the steam wand. The video tells you to put your finger at the end of the steam wand; I guess to force the water back up to try to get to the coffee pump. Well that process only burned my finger tip and sprayed me and the kitchen counter with water! My advice to you is to buy a better quality expresso machine with a name brand that you know. My Amazon Prime backed me up and refunded my money. Buyer Beware. ... show more

    • Great while it lasted but just quit
I've had it for about 7 months now and it actually worked well for the price. But just this morning it has started making a very loud noise and will just shut off. So now, it's unavailable and I'm left with an espresso machine that doesn't work. Don't bother with this one!

This machine was great at first. Would use roughly 4x a week. I’ve had it for 6 months now and the steamer stopped working along with the double shot espresso button. Would not recommend.

    • This is the worst espresso machine that I bought.
I bought this item on September 9, 2023. Today is December 5, 2023, and it stops working. It is an expensive machine, and I lost my money. I don't understand why Amazon continues selling this espresso machine.
