Received as gift, love being able to make various coffee drinks, don't like the extra clean up but I'm not paying $7 a drink either! Bean grinder works well but again it's messy and what do you do with all the extra-- have to put it in something air tight until you use it up and want fresh ground beans again. Love having the milk froth and have used all types of milk including almond or coconut depending on my mood. Good quality, seems like it will last a long time, stays looking nice on the counter, a bit noisy but that's to be expected. Good gift for any coffee lover-- I tend to just use it on the weekends when I don't have to run out the door and have the time to clean up afterwards. Now if only I could find room in the cabinet to put all the accessories...! ... show more

  • Coffee Temperature
This machine makes a good and attractive cup of coffee and the frother does a great job. Several reviewers mentioned that their coffee (specifically Lattes) were not very hot. Sadly, I found this to be an accurate assessment. I've found the Cappuccinos to be a better and warmer option. I believe the poor temperature is because of the milk. Lattes have more milk so, naturally, they will be cooler. Too bad the milk isn't warmer from the frothing process.... You can microwave your coffee after it's brewed. That would work. I haven't tried it and I don't know if it would have an effect on the milk foam or not. Still, I really enjoy my machine and if you buy one or have bought one, I hope you do to. ... show more

  • Good for the price i guess.
Color: Black
I'm kind of irritated with this. I bought this in 2019 and at first we loved it. How could we not love it. We love caffeine we love espresso. It was amazing we could have something like this in our household.... I got it on sale... i can't remember when, black friday maybe? Theres some issues right off the batt with it... The biggest most problematic thing being the fact that it leaks. We couldn't figure out where it was leaking from. I tried to just put a couple cups of water in at a time, hoping it would help... then i tried underfilling the basket for the grounds.... i tried wider mugs... nothing worked. I contacted amazon and the manufacturer.... the only response i received was that it was a known issue and basically there was nothing that could be done. I wasted $200... i could have used that money towards a good one, a high quality one.... *sigh* We put a towel under it and continued using it. After a month or so we got tired of the constant mess... and we also ended up moving. So when we moved we never set it back up.... Today was the first time since dec 2019 that i set it back up to use. We were excited to make espressos when we got home.... i set it to cappuccino, it did ok... it seemed to go slow at first and make a lot more noise than i remember... I went to go in and add a 3rd shot... got everything packed in and in place .. then all of a sudden the handle turns... it starts unlocking itself. I thought maybe i just derped and didnt tighten it. So i hold the handle and push toward the locking position. The espresso still brewing and coming out.... then it starts spewing down the handle and onto my hand... its boiling hot... i shut it off... take the handle off and see if i accidentally over packed... i didnt... so i checked everything out... wiped everything off... and put the handle back on, and made sure it was secure..... started it up again .... The handle starts to move and before i can react, it moves super quickly to the unlock position and falls off into my mug. Im sooo happy my mug didnt break, because its my favorite mug. And, my only mug that i physically have here... the rest are stored.... Anyways... i posted a pic of the mess it made. Its all over the floor too and it got all over the counter and yeah. Just a big ol mess.... Im sad and mad. I want to contact amazon and the manufacturer .. but this is 2 years later... and the fact that they did absolutely NOTHING when i contacted before (about a week after receiving it back in 2019), i dont think they'll budge now.. so... yeah... If you're thinking about buying this... don't.. its cheapy plastic, apparently has KNOWN issues by the manufacturer... yet they still sell them.. Just save that 150-200 and put it towards a good one... ... show more

  • 1st Espresso Machine
Color: Blue
This is my first time purchasing an Espresso Machine as a result I was looking at the reviews between this one (what I wanted) and a Mr. Coffee machine. I almost elected Mr. Coffee until I remembered that the internet reviews are very harsh so I purchased this item. I'm going to address of the things that I was concerned about, for this machine that almost made me go with Mr Coffee Does it Get Hot? I like hot coffee and cold, lukewarm coffee would be a major disappointment. The "Coffee" portion of the machine does get hot. The issue with this machine is that the milk frother, froth's milk, so when you make a Latte (only thing I've been making) it pours in froth milk (cold) into hot water and thereby cooling the "hot coffee". As one of the other reviewers mention they do, I just throw it into the microwave. Its an extra step but now I have a hot Latte. Does it leak? I only experienced a leak because I didn't dump the removable drip tray. Some may have had a faulty unit but if you don't dump the drip tray it will overflow and leak. Spoiled Milk Smell I haven't experienced this but the way I suspect this can occur if you never run the very simple clean cycle. Dried milk is starting to form at the end of the milk dispenser nasal. I would recommend purchasing or having some cleaning brushes on hand. Also I suspect if you leave the milk in the container and don't detach and store it in the fridge. Is it easy to clean Yes! Super super easy. What I do Well I'm reading the manual because this is a luxury purchase for me. I'm buying bottled water (SmartWater) and using that exclusively in the machine because there's no telling what's in tap water and I want to ensure 1) I have great tasting coffee 2) this luxury purchase of mine last for a while. What i wish I wish it made larger cups of espresso. I know its a single cup for at home use but I have to make 3-4 cups per coffee drinking session. Great product. Glad I didn't let the reviews get to them. Worst case you return it to amazon and buy a different product. If this is your 1st go at a home espresso machine give it a shot. Its cute and simple. Easy to clean. ... show more
