I purchased this a while ago but never used it until recently. I know it's a hassle, but I would highly recommend reading all the way thru the instructions before using it first -- and watching the video. It has a lot of very nice features but ones you may not know about/how to use, if you don't explore the instructions. I enjoy using it and it makes a great beverage. My two biggest complaints are that it mixes in more milk than I like in my lattes (if you're making a double, get a BIG cup!), and I find that the first espresso out of the machine each time isn't as hot as I prefer. Good news is that there is a "fix" for these things, but I had to peruse the instructions to figure it out. My best "pro tips" are: 1) You can control the amount of milk in your cappuccinos (or lattes) by pressing this button once again when the desired amount of milk has been reached. After a moment, the first cycle (milk) will stop. You can then press the espresso button to add the crema. This procedure works really well if you prefer to pour the milk in your beverage yourself -- just use a small pitcher for the first cycle (milk) and then switch it out with your beverage cup when running the espresso cycle, then pour the milk manually; 2) You can increase the temperature of the first beverage out of the machine by pressing the espresso button without the grounds attached to the brew head (make sure to put a cup underneath!). It will run heated water thru the system and make the next beverage out of the machine warmer. This is also the best way to clean the brew head; and, 3) you can easily clean the milk reservoir by holding the latte button for three seconds until hot water and steam start to run thru. It takes a while for the cycle to run (put a cup underneath!). You can then store the remaining milk in the reservoir in the refrigerator. ... show more

**Update** When the machine first comes out of the box and is washed, be considerate of the o-ring that connects the water reservoir to the unit. Mine was slightly warped and had a flat spot, causing the water to seep around the gap and onto my countertop. Once the gasket was finessed and slightly warmed up, it sealed with no problems. But, to make sure, I did place the entire unit into a tray to catch and rouge water leaks. I've made a selection of drinks, and I must admit I'm very impressed. With all the quick-start guides included with the unit, I am surprised this wasn't mentioned. I was mad and about to return the unit (see below) when I decided to try another approach. Actually, a great machine if you don't mind the plastic. **end update** Machine went together well, sounds very nice, and looks awesome. However, it's mostly flimsy plastic - the water reservoir does not seat properly on the back of the machine, causing it to pop up slightly. That's all it takes to completely drain out on the counter. I washed, dried, and attempted to use the machine again. The water reservoir was placed onto the back properly, then once the machine began to rattle it popped up again, slowly draining onto my counter top. Considering this needs a deep clean after each [milk-related] use, I'm not interested in also squeegeeing my countertop for each drink session. ... show more

We’ve had this little machine for about a month now, 2 adults and one young man in our home, I drink espresso, mom likes her latte and the son switches it up like every time he doing something different. The auto milk frother is a cool little touch. Just remember to clean it and store the milk in the fridge… idk why he thought… anyway yes the milk will go bad if you leave it in the frother for a few days.. Anyway we like this one, works great! Mind you this is our second attempt at an espresso machine, the first one we bought, I can’t recall the brand, but it was way louder, the espresso came out Luke warm and it had a steam wand to froth your milk rather than an auto frother. Which I don’t use anyway n they seem to like it… so yeah. Glad we returned the other one n got this one! ... show more

    • Great customer service for issues with machine.

Original review: There's a bubble in the pressure gauge. It looks weird not sure if it's normal but it still works normally. I don't know if I'm keeping it yet. Update: I was contacted by Casabrews concerning my review and sent them photos of the issue. They reviewed the photos and actually sent me a new replacement. The new one does not have the issue and it works great. So the customer service for Casabrews gets 5 stars for their efforts in contacting me and correcting the issue I had. This machine does have a small learning curve to use properly but they have videos on YouTube and on the Casabrews website that are very helpful if you are unsure of something and also very detailed instructions come in the box. I have been making delicious cappuccinos daily. The accessories that come with it are of great quality. Stainless steel tamper and portafilter have a nice weight unlike some cheap plastic ones I've seen on other machines. I follow the instructions for preheating and have not had the problem with temperature. I'm happy with the product. I have actually purchased 2 of these machines the first being a gift for one my sisters who loved it from day one. I'm enjoying my new machine. ... show more
