This makes for a fantastic motorcycle seat cover. Bought a seat pan for my 2000 ZR-7, built up custom foam and was able to cover it with the 1.5' x 54" piece. Being my first fabric related project I was a little worried about using the "guess and check" method for the seat cover cause I just didn't know what would work. This seemed like it was a solid product and I am happy with the result! If you look at the picture you can see it even sews pretty well! It sticks just like any vinyl seat cover would but you can use masking tape on the standard metal presser foot to reduce friction. Considering this was my first sewing project ever, I was very happy with the result using this material. Only reason I give 4 stars (instead of 5) is that I was a little disappointed that it was only 17.5" rather than the 18" (1.5') the description says. Keep this in mind if you think your application will be tight. What saved me for my application was it's ability to stretch! I could make up that half inch pretty well. ... show more

Used this to revive my desk chair pad. I had no experience in tailoring or upholstery and it seemed like an easy project to do. So I purchased this based on reviews and liked the way their finished product looked. The vinyl looks and feels great. I’ve had cheap vinyl leather chairs and it feels a bit more premium. This chair is going to get some wear and tear m, but it feels like it may last years. My only gripe is the 1.5’x 54” was too short in width and the 5’x54” was too big. Bought this for a motorcycle seat like some others. This is *not* grippy at all. Compared to motorcycle seat specific material - this is very slippery. Compare generic vinyl stuff found in any store to this and it's not much different. Some are saying this is great for motorcycles but I disagree. I need a very sticky surface for motorcycles and this just doesn't do it. At least it's relatively cheap - wish it was cheaper for smaller sizes like I bought. Also, it does stretch but only in one way and it happens to be length way that it stretches. It does not stretch across the 18" width. It stretches across the 54". Which kinda makes this hard to use for my motorcycle seat. ... show more

ive ordered some other carbon fiber vinyl... but needed it faster then the other brand .. i recieved this and its not as stretchy and more waxy/plasticy feel. plus it seems a little thinner..... it is what it is...it was a few dollars cheaper ...but not quiet the same quality as the other brand ...so thats why its 3 stars .... ... show more

This is not an adhesive vinyl, but a cloth type vinyl which was what I needed. This is the second carbon fiber vinyl material I have purchased, the first one was a different brand. I was happy with the first one I bought, until I ordered this I e and saw how much better it looks. The only down side is all the work I out into my interrior is having to be redone so I can use this vinyl in its place. ... show more
