First off, I love the product. The ceiling fan hook is a very nice feature. Having read others reviews, I was expecting the assembly to be a large job. I consider myself very handy, and had my father to assist me. We had the entire frame assembled in about 3 hours which seemed great Then came the roof panels. The lower panels are very large, and wobbly. It was difficult to control both sides of the panels at the same time, but with patience, we were able to get them in place. The instructions on how to 'slip in' the upper panels are a joke. You have to lean all the way over the lower panels to even begin placing the uppers. Then wiggle and force them until the finally pop into place. I am 6'4" and with a ladder, placing the upper panels was at my limits. 16 roof panels, at 15-20 minutes each to get them seated and aligned. Installing all the roof panels took close to 5 hours. I have only had it up a few weeks, but so far no leaks, and no complaints. Looks great, and we've gotten many compliments. Just know what you're getting yourself into if you plan to assemble it yourself..

The gazebo came in 4 boxes. The instructions were easy to follow. It will take you twice as long to put together the roof unless you have 2-3 people involved. It's also easier if you have at least a 1 foot clearance all around the gazebo when putting together. The only real problem I had was one of the corner supports had a piece that was welded crooked which caused the support to be off center which caused my roofing not to fit properly. I emailed the company to inquire about a replacement but they never responded. I decided to buy a self-tapping screw and secured the support so that the roofing would fit (see pic). I finished the project. I did find a putty knife and hammer helpful in getting roof panels in place. I gently tapped the roof panels to get them snug. The roof panel installation was the most frustrating part of the whole assembly.

The media could not be loaded. You need to be precise with every thing you install and screw, or your top is Screwed with headaches! Zippers fell off from slight wind, parts that you need to slide on to the panels, fall off consistently, and you have to get off of ladder and reput them on! Holes don't align, thumbs sore from moving out metal to find holes, have to leave stuff unscrewed half way to align things up. Attatchments on siding keep falling off during install of panels, took 4 days, had to take breaks between frustration. I have put 3 gazebos together, and this concept is the worse. I'd return if it was something small. Now I have to figure out the zippers that fell off!

Nice gazebo. Was shopping for a smaller gazebo but then found there are 12x20 gazebo that would perfectly fit our 20ft deck. I looked at all the different brands available and chose erommy because they have wood grain to match my composite deck with wood railing. And because it was the cheapest and I failed to find how this was different than a more expensive purple leaf gazebo. After assembly, I still don’t know what the difference would be. Assembly wouldn’t be easy for everyone but we are handy and my husband has tools for everything. My husband and I did most the assembly but recruited our teenage sons to help with the roof. It took us 2 rainy weekends including securing it to our raised deck and running electricity. Packaging was fine. We did have to straighten a price or 2 but not a big deal. 6 heavy boxes. The instructions do a nice job of telling you what is in every box. The instructions are as spot on for almost all pictures. Lining up the roof panel holes was the hardest—-keep every thing loose until you have the roof on. TIP: there are many great youtube videos out there to watch before you start with great tips. 5 stars! I have already recommended to others.
