I bought strictly to use for the wood stove. They worked as they should except the gloves are not very heat resistant, got hot after a couple of minutes. The fingers could of been thicker or had more insulation around them so they wouldn't get too hot. They get the job done because it is hard to find a good glove to use all season with the wood stove. The size small was a good fit for my smaller sized hands, so that was a plus for me. I measured my hand and bought according to the size chart. I also bought a pair for my husband in x-large according to his hand size and the chart. I don't know the durability yet because I got them a week before I stopped using the wood stove for the season ... show more

These gloves are perfect! I have a small wood stove and oftentimes have to adjust the burning wood and/or add more wood to keep the family room warm. With these gloves, I can reach into the fire and make the adjustments needed. Much easier than using a steel poker to make the adjustments.
