We bought this printer and it worked great till the first "update". Then we had to buy epson Ink. We paid a fortune for the epson ink, and after printing about 3 pictures the Red and Black quit working. They all say they are full and the tray wont open. I had blue and yellow so we ran maint to clean heads and now we got yellow but now the blue wont print. Our club has limited funds and we wasted 450.00 of our 3500.00 yearly budget and we had to pay for ink that costs too much and DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY We used half of new cartridges trying to get anything to print right. see photo ... show more

    • Such a good product. Great bang for the buck.
The prices went crazy during Covid but now they’ve come down to how they were before this is more suitable. This is a great product for the price. It does pretty much everything. It truly is a good workhorse. The ink lasts a decent amount of time suggest you get the high-yield Ink. The Desk top software doesn't come close to HP.

    • You will never be able to print with this printer.
You will have a never ending Ink Cartridge Not Recognized Error Message. Epson has been sued with a class action lawsuit about this before. I wish I would have known before my purchase.

Two years in and it barely even works anymore. I have to power cycle it several times and add and remove it on my computer to get a couple pages out. Miserable.

    • Beware! EPSON Firmware updates will disable 3rd party cartridges!
After updating the firmware, our EPSON WF-7840 quit working and the $150 worth of new, 3rd party, cartridges will no longer work!

It’s not worth the money I paid. In fact, my old printer Lexmark did a better, uncomplicated job. Simply, A BIG PIECE OF JUNK! A RIP OFF! I am stuck with a non-working piece of junk that has to be repaired at my expense. The company refuses to give me a refund.
