I have used this projector once to host a License to Carry class. The picture quality is really good. The sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. But for the main use, it works for now. Will continue to monitor and update if things change.

bought this to replace an Acer projector that the chip went bad in. $299 on sale , we use a dvd surround sound player setup with speakers and all connected to the dvd player, single hdmi cable going to projector takes care of video and sound. have not fine tuned the picture setup yet, will play with it more to refine it more hopefully, but the picture was good quality. Tried the cheap chinese " 1080p " projectors, don't waste your $ on those, the picture quality suck...this one is pretty good ... show more

I tried couple of foreign budget brands after watching so many YouTube reviews but none of them impressed me. There is a reason why Epson,Benq .. etc are top brands. I liked the epson- co-w01 instantly. My observation: Anker solar 1080p projector: worst image quality I have ever seen. Videos are completely washed out- no colors, pale skin tones, no contrast, dull light. 300$ Happrun: it’s no. 1 selling on Amazon but I didn’t like it at all. Edges are blurry, colors & contrast not good, not enough brightness. <90$ Nexigo-pj40: edges are slightly blurry, colors over saturated, too much contrast that you can’t watch hdr movies as anything in the shadow or black is completely black. I don’t see faces of people in dark scenes. Not at all watchable. YouTubers gave rave reviews:( <250$ ***Epson: co-w01: 300$ Pros: bright image even in eco mode Super colors Good contrast ( some reviews complained about contrast but compared to other products in this range it’s good) Very low fan noise Reliable brand Cons: you see some gray bars in top and bottom as this has slightly different aspect ratio but I’m ok with it Bulb life is less and not replaceable. But 12k hours life in eco is good for me. Just 1 hdmi and 1 usb port. No aux port. I’m using fire tv stick with hdmi input and usb port to power the stick. Connected BT speaker to fire tv. Warning for Sono’s speaker owners who want to use this with their speaker… you can’t. There is no way to connect your Sonos speaker set up to this projector. It doesn’t have an HDMI ARC port so you cannot use your Sono’s speakers (there are also no adaptors on the market that work this way). We almost returned this projector because of this issue. But we didn’t because the overall quality is really good for the price. For now we are using cheap computer speakers and an adaptor connection for it. ... show more
