  • So far so good
Color: White Style: ET-2803 Pattern Name: Printer
So far it works pretty well. Set up was pretty easy. Took a minute to figure out how to connect to the wifi, so if you have a modem that is 5G capable, you may need to go thru the printer itself instead of doing the online setup with your phone or computer, because it needs to run thru 2G wifi. My phone and computer both would only show the 5G option, but I was able to locate the 2G by name on the printer itself. Other than that, everything seems to work great. Print quality is very nice. Easy to fill the cartridges. It does take quite a bit of black ink to configure your initial set up, so Im guessing black ink will be used much faster (as it usually is with any printer) but Ive been able to print quite a bit of color already and the color levels have barely moved. It is a little louder than my old Epson workforce, but I set it to the "quite" setting and it helped somewhat. Still loud, but not as bad. The only thing Im not thrilled about is the paper loading. You cant put alot of paper in at once or it jams very easy, or just wont load at all. I can only have about 10 sheets at once in the loader tray, which is annoying. But what can you do? Overall I like it so far. Havent had a chance to test the sublimation ink I purchased for it yet so I dont know how well that works, but regular ink works great and colors come out nice. ... show more

  • Great printer
Color: White Style: ET-2803 Pattern Name: Printer
I am a long time HP Printer customer. I would say easily 20 plus years. I have become very disgusted with HP for many different reasons and as a result I thought I would give this Epson a shot. It turns out I like absolutely everything about this printer I was somewhat concerned in the beginning because it is much lighter built and I just wasn't very sure of what the final outcome of usage would be. But after using it for a month or so I have come to really like this printer for so many different reasons. The ink situation is so much better than what I was dealing with HP and that was one of my gripes with HP is that they want to force you into joining some sort of ink Club where they keep your credit card on file and that's just not good with me. So this ink lasts longer and it's cheaper. I have printed out a couple of photographs that I have taken and what I would say is that as long as you're using a quality photo paper the reproduction is excellent. I also really like the interface with the app it is so user friendly compared to HP. I was constantly having trouble keeping a connection with my HP and my Wi-Fi as well as just basically trying to pull up the printer on the app on my phone and go through the menu and print whatever it was I was wanting to print. The app for this Epson is very user friendly and and intuitive. So what's not to like here the price is great the product works it's inexpensive to run and the quality of the print is excellent. ... show more

  • Wish I would have done my research!
Color: White Style: ET-2803 Pattern Name: Printer
Prior to this, I had a Canon printer that always frustrated me because of how quickly it ran out of ink and how much replacement ink cost. I heard great things about EcoTank printers and I was looking forward to getting one. People were praising these left and right and the premise is solid. Tanks of separate ink that you fill with less expensive refill ink. I ordered the 2802 version at a good price that I was happy about. The printer is light and made of flimsy plastic, but I didn't really care because I wanted something that was economical, so this is what you get for your money. The setup was easy and the ink loading process was fun. Yaaay! So there it sat until I needed to print something. Cut to a month later when I needed to actually print something, and things went downhill quickly. This was the first time using it for actual printing. When setting it up, I had a test sheet print out with no problem. Now when I went to print, the sheet, while feeding in, would start canting to the side and get jammed. Three separate attempts, all just jamming while getting half way through the printing process. I went online to some forums and wow, I wasn't the only one with this problem. Postings everywhere of the same exact issue. The "fix" for this was to clean the rollers. So I took apart everything and used alcohol, rubbing, not the kind that I was wanting more and more to drink because of this damned printer, to clean the rubber parts on the rollers. Zero change. Every sheet would crinkle up and jam. When I was in the forums, almost all the other victims had the same results. Unfortunately all the other people in the same predicament had reached out to Epson and were told to reach out to where they bought it from, which is Amazon of course. Having been past the return point, they did not have many options. For a reminder, this was a brand new printer. It had sat for approx 30 days and would not work. Now granted, I didn't bother contacting Epson for a fix and maybe they would have treated me better than all the others, but I didn't care. I was done with this. I was disgusted with the printer at this point and Ron Swanson'd it into my trash bin. I have ordered a Brother laser printer. Hopefully this works better. ... show more
