Our cowboy western holster rigs are crafted from heavy duty genuine top grain leather by world renowned craftsmen whose trade has been handed down for generations. The precision tooling is done Meticulously by HAND. The holster and belt are cut from one hide to maintain color consistency throughout the entire product. The holster BELT is constructed of two sheets of heavy duty top grain leather back to back so that the smooth side of the leather is on the inside of the belt and also on the outside of the belt. The HOLSTER is made of two sheets of leather sandwiching a sheet of metal to add rigidity and to maintain the shape. This double layer construction gives the entire rig durability and longevity. How to measure BELT SIZE: Measure (in inches) your hip or waist area where you want the belt to ride. Wearing pants, measure over the belt loops with the belt in place. Very nice piece. Been wearing for a couple hour every day for a couple weeks now and is very comfortable. Has been comfortable straight out the box. One think is the holster is a bit big for my revolver. Definitely not a deal breaker. It's not a custom build for my revolver. Wast Sizing was spot on as described. good quality, waist size 32 and ordered a 36 belt and fits fine over a pair of jeans with 2 loops to spare for tighting and i prefer to wear stuff on the tighter side, color of finish is darker then pictures on amazon but im still happy with it. Leather is new and squeaky but very thick and should provide long lasting, fits my s&w 686 7 shot with 6 inch barrel well. The leather rope strap that secures the firearm in the holster using the hammer can be adjusted, the strap that secures it to you’re leg is a lil long but instead of cutting i just ran it up through the back side of the button strap that goes across the middle of holster to take up some of the slack, may in the future come up with a Self made button strap idea for the leg as the rope as likes to come undone unless tighten very tight but then difficult to untie. very comfortable and dont notice to much extra weight. I tried looking for some speed loader pouches that would add on but unlucky so far, most of the belt is 3 - 3 1/4 wide - update, leather is squeaky to do being dry.. i'd recommend leather condinoner if you plan to wear often, I've applied some and it just soaked in right away, also strap around leg is fine if you know how to tie a good knot that can be undone but i'd prefer a button, like tying you're shoes seems to work well, overall good quality but like anything can be improved with time and effort.. would buy again ... show more

I ordered the plain brown set, and I love it. I am someone who is meticulous to the last detail, and this gun belt is a joy for me. Strong, quality leather and stitching, perfectly sized loops, and the holster is internally reinforced to provide a very quick and smooth draw. My Ruger 5.5 inch Vaquero fits flawlessly, just short of flush with the end of holster. The hammer thong strap is adjustable for larger or smaller styled hammers. The belt that I ordered was a size 42. I have a 34 inch waste, but I ordered based on the provided measurement guidelines. The 42 was too big, so I am sending it back for a smaller size. A concern for me was the number of cartridge loops on the belt. The size 42 belt had 23 loops, and when I contacted the seller, I was informed that there were only 15 loops on the size 36 belt, and 18 loops on the size 38 belt. For 20 dollars they offered to customize a new belt for me with a preferred number of loops on an appropriately sized belt. The expected lead time is 2-3 weeks. I was very pleased with their service, and I will update this when I get the new belt. UPDATE: 3/29/17 I just received the custom belt. I am pleased to see the same quality that was found in the first belt, suggesting that the quality control from Leathertown is top notch, and you should expect to see the same quality on your order. I received a size 38 belt, and it fits comfortably on the 3rd to last loop, and snug on the 2nd to last loop. For a small customization fee, this belt was made with 41 cartridge loops. The problem I had is that it did not fit me. I have a Model 19 SW 357 Magnum and it was too heavy for the holster. More information should have been supplied as to waiste size and fitment. Also, they could perhaps supply more information on which particular handguns it is recommended for. On a good note, it is a very well done holster with quality leather work. As far as that goes, I would recommend a leg strap with a buckle as opposed to a simple tie. ... show more

very cool and solid product. the carves are awesome. edge lines are solid. the bullet holders are tight for .357/.38 and I tried 9mm, it fits and tight, too. I use this for my s&w 686 talo 5in, it fits well. since there is rear sight knot, the knot is not fully inserted into the holster; and I don't know if this is also the reason that the trigger is not covered in the holster (I was thinking this is actually quite practical for real fast shooting, but I will not try it until I'm skillful on it). but no worries like "the talo is not fully inserted and would fall out", I wear the revolver(of course chamber empty) and jumped, it won't get out easily. and there is an extra leather string to hook the hammer, (the string was short at first, but I pulled it a bit to make it hook the hammer, which is tight and good). the holster attach my leg well, very comfortable. and when put your hands on grip, it's the exact right position to pull and shoot for me. btw, I choose 2 inches longer than my usual belt length, fitted very well, not too tight that make you wear on high waist; also not too loose that you have to 'reach out' for your grip rather than put your hands on comfortably. ... show more
