  • Works great! Quiet & lightweight!
Color: Red Connector Type Used on Cable: 3-Pin Round
Installed between two of the batteries on a 2008 Club Car DS 48V (4x12V) as an onboard charger using a secondary Club Car charging port and adding a recessed male plug next to the original charging port (see pictures). Performed the OBC ground lead bypass as outlined in the included instructions and it works perfectly. Since the bypass was done on the secondary charging port I installed, having this charger plugged in to it will still allow drive function....as it bypasses the on board computer interlock which normally disables drive function. Now I simply plug the extension cord in on the new port and that's it. Charger is always onboard! Extremely quiet fan, light weight and charges quickly. ... show more

  • Good charger
Color: Red Connector Type Used on Cable: 3-Pin Round
The charger works exactly as planned. It's a good one. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a golf-cart battery charger. The charger cord is long enough to reach where I need it.

  • Great value for the cost.

This unit is light weight and efficient. Easy to use , works much better then the original charger. I thought I needed new batteries, but with this charger I saved the cost of new batteries.

  • Broke my golf cart I'm pretty sure
Color: Red Connector Type Used on Cable: 3-Pin Round
I don't have definitive proof but I'm quite sure this broke my golf cart. My golf cart was completely fine for years no problems at all. I left my charger in the rain so ordered this one. I pulled my cart up to the charger, plugged it in, and when I went to start it back up - nothing. I disassembled the entire cart and started replacing parts one at a time until I replaced everything - controller, solenoid, wires, etc... finally after swapping out everything except the batteries and the motor it ran for a bit. Every time I plugged in the cart it would kill it and I'd have to disconnect the battery and reconnect for it to start for some reason. Finally the cart totally stopped again. I checked my batteries and only one read 8v, the rest are ruined. The charger claims fully charged but all my batteries are basically giving readings below 5v. Thanks a lot 👍. Don't be cheap guys buy the real charger don't be stupid ... show more

  • Perfect lightweight charger
Color: Red Connector Type Used on Cable: 3-Pin Round
Love this charger. It is so lightweight and much easier for me to handle vs. The heavy Power Drive. one I had. Charges quickly, has indicator light to show battery life and how much it is charged. Works perfectly with my Club Car Precedent DS. Great value for the money. Very quiet.

  • Been using for ~9 months, been working well for me!
Color: Red Connector Type Used on Cable: 3-Pin Round
I bought a used 2008 Club Car Precedent in May 2025 and bought this charger off of Amazon the same day after looking at reviews. I have four 12V trojan lead-acid batteries in the cart and this charger has been working well since the day I bought it. Like other reviewers, the directions that come with the box were pitiful. There seemed to be a bit of a steep learning curve to figure out some intricacies with the unit. We use the cart at least once per week or two in winter months, and pretty much every day during the summer months. I charge the cart after every use, usually over night. So I am easily at 200+ charges on this unit (again, we used our cart heavily during the summer months). I've not specifically kept track of time for charging duration, but I would estimate 2-3 hours based upon my experience (although I essentially never run batteries down to 0%). The two times battery power got low enough to where we had to push cart home, the unit charged the batteries back to 100% overnight without any problems. Pros: --size and lightweight --durability (approx 9 months of use so far) --price --quiet overall (I can barely hear fan running when I'm in garage, definitely cannot hear unit from inside house) --cord length is adequate for me to reach wall outlet Cons: --directions that come with unit --customer support (based on my reading of other reviews, but I've not had to contact customer support) --learning curve for me to understand the indicator lights (even with supplied directions) --takes some effort (elbow grease) to connect charger to golf cart charger inlet (ie. tight fit) --I would like the cord from the charger to the cart to be about 3 feet longer than it is. (the cord length from wall outlet to charger is good though) I'm unsure if other users have noted this, but I have found that (in the beginning), I had some issues with charger starting/connecting/initiating....it would blink green then red multiple ways indicating some sort of error (user manual really didn't help me figure this out even after multiple attempts to interpret manual). If I let the cart batteries sit and cool down for a bit (30 minutes maybe) then the unit would start normally and complete the charge. I also noted, that after any error signals (blinking lights indicating an issue), I had to unplug the charger for 60 seconds before plugging back in and then it would work fine. It was as if the charger refused to connect to the cart until it was "reset" by unplugging for a minute. So, maybe a safety mechanism within the unit itself (?)....I'm assuming this because of how it's worked after I did this small pause before re-plugging it into the outlet, and because the supplied directions are so poor it didn't really help with that troubleshooting component. I figured it out by trial and error honestly. But since I started doing that 8+ months ago, I've not had any issues with connecting/charging/initiating. Because of this "learning curve" issue of how to best use the charger on my specific cart, I'd rate this unit with 4 stars instead of 5 stars at this time...honestly, I'd rate it 4.5 stars if that was an option. :) Some reviewers mention they wonder if this is hard on their batteries. I don't believe it's impacted my battery life at this stage of using it. And lead-acid batteries need to be replaced every handful of years or so depending on usage. My batteries are approximately 3 years old, so again, I've not noticed this impact battery quality on my cart. I would buy this charger again if I needed to. I would recommend manufacturer spend some time on a good quality user manual. Admittedly, I've only had it for 9 months, so it's hard for me to comment accurately on durability, but I'm def happy so far. If anything I've said in this review changes my mind on the unit I'll edit my initial review. ... show more
