Not sure why one would give a negative review for an item they purchased in error. Anyway, I needed to apply for a British passport from the US and it was surprisingly difficult to get photos in the correct size. Walgreen's will format them correctly, but not cut them. As the passport application gives several warnings that incorrect photos are the most common reason applications get delayed, I wanted to make sure the cut was precise. This really was quite handy. As much as it kind of sucks to spend this much on something I'd only use once, it was worth it for the peace of mind knowing the dimensions were correct. EU/British passport photos are very difficult to get in the USA, because the sizes are different. I found a CVS who could print the photos at the EU/British size, but not cut them. The criteria for the photos is stressful enough to start with, so I daren't try to cut them out with scissors. This tool does them for you. It's well made and cuts perfectly. Ok, note this is NOT for US passports, as this is Amazon in the US I have no clue why all the five star reviews. It should be on the Amazon Europe sites https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/gateway-eu This is also not a good buy, go to Costco or Sam's for like $5 they do a much better job. I would think applying for the passport with an bad picture will be even more a nightmare than it is already with good pictures. You can also use scissors as I have always done. My wife never likes the passport photos so I am forced to redo them. ... show more

Save tons of money on passport photos with one of these bad boys. I just used a free Passport Photo APP on my iPhone to take the photos, then sent them to Walgreens for processing for 35 cents per sheet of 6. Used this cutter to cut them out for the German Consulate. Note, this unit is sized is for EU countries who had to mess up the international standard 2x2 passport photo. ... show more
