  • The best holographic sight you can buy
Style: 552.A65
I’m such a big fan of this sight that I chose to buy a second one for a different weapon. This one came on time, i put the batteries in and fired it up; worked as intended. Further, when my older one failed EOTech replaced it quickly. I bought the NV compatible version. Works my my Gen III night vision. ... show more

  • All I can say is WOW
Style: 552.A65
Not often do I feel obligated to leave a review on a product but this definitely deserves one. Although I find it hard to believe I paid $500 for this, I do love the product and don't regret buying it. This sight is of EXTREMELY high quality and I honestly don't think I could break it if I tried. It takes a little practice and time to get used to because you must find the appropriate brightness setting for the amount of light you're using it in or else the reticle creates a sort of starburst affect on itself if it is too bright. Also using it with both eyes open takes away alot of this effect. (which i assume is the way it's made to be used) As for the seller, I could not be happier. I bought this for $500 (the cheapest i could find anywhere) and it arrived at my door step the NEXT DAY!!! although it says 3-5 business days it got next day aired to me at NO COST. Also I'm not sure, but I may have gotten a special price on this product. i bought 1 of 2 that were listed for $500. The next day, after the other one sold, the price went up to $600. ... show more

  • Everything I've ever heard about EOTech and more
Style: 552.A65
This is my first EOTech sight. I own an Aimpoint H1 which is comparable to this sight and several lower end, Barska, Bushnell etc.. type sights. I really liked my Aimpoint H1 until I realized what I was missing. The Aimpoint to their credit, is small, lightweight and has surprisingly good battery life, I even use a LaRue quick detach mount, I thought what could be better. Well this EOTech 552 is the answer. It uses very easy to find AA batteries. It's low profile so I can leave it mounted on my gun and still get her into the safe, unlike my Aimpoint which sits so high you pretty much have to use a quick detach mount. I also like the ease of use. Sure with Aimpoint you turn one dial for on/off and intensity and with the 552 you have a few controls, but that's good right? I can turn the scope on with a 4 or 8 hour auto time off with one button push, adjust brightness up/down with the same buttons and this I really like, the windage and elevation screws are exposed (no caps to unscrew and lose) and you can turn them with a small tool, screwdriver or coin. The display is wider and bigger and I like the cross hair in a circle pattern way better than a small red dot. I still love my aimpoint too but it's sitting on a rifle that's more of a home defense weapon. This 552 goes to the range with me and I'm hitting bullseyes and within 1-2 MOA of bull at 100 yds all day. Definitely worth the price. ... show more

  • This was tough for me to write...
Style: 552.A65
I love EoTech because they have the first true holographic sight and it's a dream to use. That said it's been plagued by bugs that L3 has never been able to work out of it such as POI drift under heat and cold. So much so that they are now offering full refunds to anyone who wants them and have a class action suit against them. I'm going for the refund after two years because the US Govt has cancelled their contract as has the military and a ton of police departments across the country. L3 and EoTech may not survive. I went through the return process for both that I bought and will be getting the AimPoint Patrol Pro as a replacement. ... show more

  • Great.......but $500 too much.
Style: 552.A65
I can get four shots inside of a quarter at 50 yards with standard parts with a gun that the gun store through together. The laser is too Gritty for the price. The center is cited in at 50 yards and at the bottom of the circle is pretty Well 10-15 feet away. Have not tried 100 yards yet 60 yards it's still dead on. And the accuracy is achieved with standard run-of-the-mill ammunition independence 55 grain FMJ. It will work in any lighting condition from Bright to no light, works great. Easy to shoot with both eyes open no problem. Have had the batteries in it for over a year, still works fine. It's great but it's really worth about 300. And this is my first site I've ever bought for gun. But next time I'm going to get a burris xtr2 its 500 more. But you get a 1.5-8 zoom and a red dot. Soo thats a better deal to me cause you can shoot point blank out to 400-600 yards with lines in the scope. Can do that with eotec. ... show more

  • Best holographic weapon sight in the field
Style: 552.A65
There is a lot of debate out there about whether or not the military/law-enforcement version of the EOTech HOLO sight is worth the extra hundred bucks or so. I have multiple of the 552.A65 sights and they put up with a lot of punishment. They're very impact resistant, so you can bang them around a bunch and the reticle stays exactly where you set it. I've never owned one of the civilian models, but out of the 3 mil/LE models I have, they have never slipped. I hear colleagues talk about their civilian models having to be re-zeroed after impact. If you're depending on your sight out in the field, shock/impact resistance is critical. Additionally, it takes AA batteries. There is a lot of debate between AA versus CR-123, but in many countries and rural areas, you might have some trouble finding CR-123 batteries. AA batteries are sold pretty much anywhere that batteries can be bought. ... show more

Style: 552.A65
I am writing a review for this sight as part of a school assignment and because it has not let me down since I have purchased it. There is quite a few different sights, however, this one is issued to many different agencies and purchasing a high quality weapon sight was one of my biggest goals due to constructing an AR-15. I love the quality of the sight itself and being able to shoot with both eyes open is a massive advantage due to having more peripheral vision at the range. The 552 doesn't have any noticeable drawbacks from my experience so far, however, it is relatively big and heavy compared to many weapon sights currently available. Another issue is that EOTech released a newer sight called the 558 which is only marginally more expensive with several improvements on button positioning and replacing traditional screws with a quick detachment lever. ... show more
