This Enya tenor gloss ukulele is darn near perfect for its price point. First, it’s beautiful. The gloss finish really make the uke stand out. The headstock is finished nicely and has smooth and quality tuning machines. The neck is well built and the fret ends have been polished smooth. The 1.5” nut helps my big fingers make chords without muting strings. Workmanship is great. Second, the factory strings were dull so once I put good strings on (I tune to low G) the resonance and volume is rich and full. Intonation is +/-. The G and A are dead on and the C and E are close up and down the neck. Because the neck is a bolt on style, you get a wrench to slightly adjust the action. The uke comes with two strap buttons. The case is sturdy and a very tight fit. However the non-removable strap is too short to wear crossbody on your back unless you’re child size. The accessory pouch is small and meant only for your capo, tuner, and picks. Now here’s the bad news. This uke is a nightmare to restring. The strings go down in holes at the saddle. Then you have to fish around inside to bring the loose ends out of the sound hole (I have to use long pliers) in order to tie a knot or bead on the ends. Then you pull the strings back out from the top to go to the headstock. There are at least three easier stringing systems. Overall I recommend the beautiful ukulele if you have the patience to restring it.

I really love this incredibly gorgeous instrument and I feel like I am playing on a very expensive and luxury Uke when I practice with it. The quality is amazing for the price. It feels just so good in my hands and responds very well. It also stays in tune for weeks without needing an adjustment. I enjoy playing it everyday. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it highly.

The new one is here. I'll try to review it soon. Stars are back up. I like it. When purchasing this ukulele, it says that a replacement option is available. When trying to set up a replacement, it says that a replacement option is not. The representative said that as well. You may want to be wary of this. I have screenshots and video, of course. This one had a nice outer box and the inner box is pretty rough. It looks like a possible previous return. It has chipped paint on the tuners. It has residue at the top of the fretboard on the body. It has a chip on the back of the headstock. I believe we will be able to get it done. The issue is how many days that could take, lack of transparency or lies with the sale about policies... Paid for another one and sent the 1st one back. It can be very difficult to get a good ukulele from Amazon as many of you may well know. If we can get a good one it might be worth it. It smells like glue or solvent inside. It sounds amazing. Very unhappy not just getting a good one and with the purchase and replacement processes currently being used by Enya. I hope it's not because they don't have a good one that they are giving us these issues. I'll probably just order the replacement immediately and then just get this one headed back.

I chose this Enya high-gloss blue concert ukulele after a ton of research, and bought it “used/like new” from Amazon Warehouse for a fantastic deal off the list price. I think mine was a previous return, though, because it’s a real bummer in terms of looks (which shocked me, given all these really beautiful ukes other reviewers have posted!). The one I received is VERY dark teal, almost black, and unfortunately has no shimmery stripes or patches that catch the light at different angles. It’s just really dull-looking on the front with an unattractive grain pattern. :( Strangely, the back piece is much more beautiful, with a lovely, subtle grain pattern and tons of shimmer when held up to the light… but sadly no one will ever see the back. I was hoping for this uke to be royal blue or bright teal (like other reviewers’ photos show) and was honestly pretty sad when I unboxed it and saw how dark it is. However, I was still willing to give it a try, because ugly instruments still need someone to love and play them, too. I got it tuned up and started to noodle around on it, and by the third chord, it took my breath away. I nearly teared up. The the sound that this thing produces is jaw-dropping. Bright, crisp treble with clear, resonant low tones. Rich, full notes that sustain WAY longer than any other uke I’ve ever played. Other reviewers have mentioned theirs has a mellow, muted sound that simply can’t get loud, but mine can definitely play loud if I want it to. Is it my loudest, punchiest uke? No way. Does it have the prettiest and most versatile voice? Probably. The strings are fluorocarbon and super easy to play — quite soft and downright gentle compared to the Aquila nylgut strings on my other ukes. The action is a fantastic height closer to the nut, but it becomes quite high as you move up the fretboard; I’m going to sand down the bridge to remedy this. The padded gig bag that comes with this uke is honestly impressive and much higher quality than the bags that come with most ukes, which are usually made out of that “reusable shopping bag” material. This one has subtle branding, thick foam padding, and an overall professional look. The zippers are smooth, quiet, and sturdy. I do wish the front pocket were just a bit deeper (front to back) to accommodate my strap and Snark SuperTight tuner. So, my verdict? This is an incredible ukulele; Enya is proving themselves comparable to big names, like Kala and Ohana. This is far better quality than 95% of the ukes you can get here on Amazon and is absolutely worth the price. This is a fantastic instrument for the intermediate or advanced player, or even a beginner who wants to start off with good quality. Although the one I received is quite ugly and nothing like the product photos, it plays like a piece out of God’s own orchestra.

The media could not be loaded. This instrument is of very good quality and has a great sound, as well as being very pretty. I set up with a Low G string. Changing the pickup batteries is a bit complicated, but other than that, I'm very happy with everything else!
