I use these for drying leather dye and repair compounds that require high heat to cure properly. I've been using heat guns for 17 years for my profession and have used $15-$200 guns. They all break at some point. I had a $200 one last for 6 months and just stopped working. I like these because for 20 bucks, if they fail in 6 months, I'm ok with it, chuck it. I have had 5 in two years, so 100 bucks for two years worth of using a heat gun isn't too bad considering that even the most expensive ones break too. Maybe it's a tax on the environment to keep throwing these things away but I don't care. Overall I give them 3 stars because of their heat output and ease of using.....high and low with the toggle of the switch. Some have just on and off and some are actually variable speeds and heat. I really only need high heat and can regulate the temp and air speed with my extreme pro heat gun skills. 3 stars overall because they last for 6 months tops. I use them about 20 hours per week, so if you are in need of an occasional use heat gun, these might last you for years. Go for it. Another plus is the bright orange color that catches my eye so I don't step on them when I'm working in the field.

This heat gun is kind of big, but is lightweight and the handle/grip is nice to hold. It comes with a variety of nozzles/attachments for various projects. The variable heat settings are somewhat of a joke, but it does seem to have some control. It performs more like a high, medium, low, although it claims to have many more "settings" on the wheel. I actually did like this heat gun and I used it intermittently for 67 days, on the 68th day, no heat. Fans/blower still works in both settings, but no heat at all. I heard no pops, like others have said when theirs stopped working. I have sent an email to the company Enertwist as the product manual says the product is backed by a 90-day money back guarantee and 2 year warranty. I haven't heard back from them yet. I'd prefer my money back, as it just isn't a reliable product and a replacement unit will probably just fail too. I'd suggest finding a different heat gun to spend your money on. I'm hoping my luck with contacting support will be better than others who have claimed no reply at all. I'll update my review if they decide to stand behind their product. Update: 5/19/23 I emailed the company about the heat gun failing and they were very quick to reply and offer assistance. They replaced the heat gun without any issues. They also replied/followed up to my review and offered assistance. I’m changing my review to 3 stars for the excellent service and will adjust the review based on the longevity of the replacement unit. I will say communicating with support was quick and easy.

I like the gun and the pieces it came with. I only bought this one though because I’ve had guns before and I didn’t have anything to keep them in. So I ended up losing pieces. I bought this one because it came with a case. The case is super flimsy. I cannot figure out how it’s supposed to stay shut when the latches being so cheap and they pop apart easy. I ended up just buying a plastic bin from Walmart to hold everything together. Like I said. The gun itself is nice but the other stuff it comes with is cheap.
