Gets hot quickly used it on solder seal butt connectors on transmission 10 pin connector I had to replace under a truck. Melted solder quick and didn't burn them. I touched the end on accident after about 10 min and it was still hot lol so I did get a little burn. Don't put it away right away when done, let it cool for 20 min. Its a HEAT GUN! It has a red switch for safety. If you cannot differentiate red and green from one another this may not be the best one for you and I would look for another colorway in the same brand if they do have other colors, but if that is in fact the case and you can tell the difference between the switch, and the heat gun, you should 100% purchase this.
