    • Sturdy but thumb screws are annoying, and frame slats are tricky

I like they are nice and thick and do a decent job of keeping my mattress from sliding off the frame. Next time I would choose a different product though. At minimum I would get one that are hex / allen / phillips / flat head screws - definitely not the thumb screws. Main issue for me is my bed frame is metal with horizontal slats, and I am installing these brackets all along one side of my bed frame (rather than the top or the bottom), because my queen bed has long side against the wall like a sofa. This means I am fitting them between the gaps in my slats. They are barely narrow enough to fit between the slats. However, the thumb screws cannot properly turn bc they hit the slats! I can barely make it work with a lot of pulling/twisting on the slats, and using pliers on the thumb screws, but they are difficult to tighten and are not getting properly tight. I've been meaning to take a screw to home depot and buy some replacement screws with smallish heads that will work with an allen wrench. Other issue is the slats sit on a ledge, and that ledge has velcro on it, so there isn't much vertical height for the brackets to slide down onto. They barely go on enough to work, but combined with the issue above, they wiggle loose every so often. My black metal frame is also at about the max width capacity for these brackets. The brackets install fine on the top and bottom edges of the frame, but that is not where I need them. ... show more

Love these little things! These clamp on tabs really work! I recently bought a new hybrid mattress and an issue with it shifting and sliding so that it would overhang the foundation frame. These grippers solved the problem completely. They are very low profile and unobtrusive but they are large enough to keep the mattress from moving. They're also made from very thick steel that will not bend under pressure. They have a smooth in finish that won't snag or cut the mattress and the thumbscrew attachment made installation super easy. I didn't even need any tools to tighten them up. The low price made them a q great value for the money. I highly recommend. Note that due to the way they clamp on they will only work on metal bedframes or foundations. ... show more

These are stupid simple but solved a problem that has driven me crazy every single day since my mattress became old and started sliding around everywhere on my IKEA bed frame. Even though the metal brackets sometimes slip off the command tape that secures them in place, I swear just the stickiness of the tape helps as well. This is also my fault because I haven’t also screwed the retainers into my bed as recommended, because I am lazy. Either way, I haven’t woken up in weeks with my mattress a foot away from the head of my bed and for that I am eternally grateful for this product. ... show more
