Works perfectly! I ordered the 57"-60" size, my windows are 60" height and just over an inch wide inside the tracks. Once the bolts are loosened at the top, the top can be pushed downward to maneuver into the window space. I had to adjust the size downward, then tightened the bolts to hold the top in place before putting the door in the window as it was a bit difficult to hold otherwise, the springs inside are very strong. Once in the window, I loosened the bolts and let the top slide up into place. Works great, great quality, perfect fit. I had to remove the flap because I have my original cat door in the screen and the screen blocks the cat door from swinging out. It was pretty easy to do. Adjusting the height of the cat door at the bottom was easy as well. There are instructions which work well and helpful. Now I won't need to open the window so the cat can get out. The panel was super easy to install and is very sturdy. My window is a 46 inch long window, so I ordered the 43 inch- 46 inch size. The spring loaded extension is released by turning the screws located about 8 inches from the top. They provide a strip of weather Stripping that is supposed to go on the gap of the open window, but they did not provide enough length, so I will have to go get some, which is another expense for a little but of stripping. So many people have complained about this, you would think they would have added a little more, but no they did not. For such an expensive door, you would think they would. ... show more

Fairly easy to install. Had to trim off some metal, which is part of the design, so be prepared for that. We get heavy winds out in the country and the door still stayed closed, which was impressive. I just wish there was an attachment that would prevent the cat from bringing in mice and lizards, lol. ... show more

It didn’t fit. I measured many times and my window is 46” exactly. This window measurement does not take into account the sill height or the height of the edge of the window channel. Not certain trimming would have worked either. Didn’t risk it. Sent it back.

I wanted to be certain if they would learn how to use it, before investing something big and durable for them.
