The looks, ease of installment and quality of the window and flap are fantastic. But.....the plastic door cover that is meant to keep the kitty inside does not work. It fell off the first night. It barely functions. I use duct tape on three sides to keep the door on at night so kitty does not become coyote food. I wish the door lock was like my dog doors where it is a panel that slides down tracks on both sides......if then, I would give this door 5 stars in every category. For now, it looks pretty awful with duct tape holding on the security cover. ... show more

It didn’t fit. I measured many times and my window is 46” exactly. This window measurement does not take into account the sill height or the height of the edge of the window channel. Not certain trimming would have worked either. Didn’t risk it. Sent it back.

This does the job it is meant to do, it allows the indoor/outdoor cat to come and go as they please without having to bug you, the fact that it is a window means that the occasional stray dog is not going to come in, but you cat may bring her outdoor toys (mice, birds, etc) in to play with, so be prepared. It makes a solid connection to the window and keeps the weather out and was a lot sturdier and insulated than I thought it would be, overall, it does the job better than I expected. ... show more
