This had the sleek looks we wanted for being fitted to a modern door. The interior lock mechanism was smaller than other keypad operated smart locks we evaluated. Programming codes was fidgety but very doable. Battery drain seems a little high but still acceptable. Wish list is to be able to manage codes from August smart phone app, direct zwave integration, and it'd be very cool if they could keep it as small as it is and also incorporate a video doorbell. ... show more

I debated 5 vs 4. Once installed an running correctly it’s a great product as is the app. That said it was very, very time consuming to install. The door and latch opening had the be PERFECT or it won’t work. I had to make several modifications to the door and the latch. From there it took a while to figure out how to get linked to the app. The instructions are pretty terrible. I found a You Tube video to help me connect. This lock is100% quality. It is made of steel. It weighs 2x as much as the Nest lock we have on the other door. Much more robust than what you can buy at Home Depot. You get what you pay for - high quality item.
