First, this is an outdoor aluminum constructed sconce, which is well constructed, stylish and easy to install. I would encourage a buyer to review the online videos which are posted relative to installation. While the weight of the sconce is not more than a few pounds, this should not be an indication that the sconce is poorly constructed or cheap. Quite the contrary, this sconce is built to last. I purchased 5 of these sconces to replace sconces which after 4 years had corroded to the point that I couldn’t remove the glass housing to change the light bulb or clean the glass. With Emliviar’s design you simply have to reach into the opening under the beveled glass to remove or install a bulb. I also found Emliviar’s customer support to be excellent. ... show more

    • Birds kept nesting on top of the old lamp so needed a lamp with a design to prevent that.

The outdoor front door lamp is good quality. I didn't take into account that it hangs down and might be too low for some tall people to get by without ducking. But I didn't consider returning it beause it's beautiful.
