Makes a great cup of coffee. Pros: Makes a nice, flavorful, strong cup of coffee. Streamline, compact design. Brews fairly quickly. Cons: Not particularly durably made. Plastic seems of inferior, flimsy quality. A little bit of water remains in the chamber after coffee is brewed so need to pour it out. Reusable filter is very thin but this also likely the reason the coffee it makes is better. I previously returned a different coffee maker. Honestly, for under 20 bucks, (Black Friday sale) this thing makes better coffee than any fancy coffee maker I've had costing well over $100! I always disliked "pod" coffee makers as they were either small cups or weak coffee all while being cheaper per cup. And also you have a larger variety for coffees to use over pods. I probably do use more coffee than a regular 10/12 cup pot maker does per cup, But I get fresh cup instead of old, sitting in crusty pot, cups later in the day. The included cup is cheap, light weight, but honestly, like the pot, it works, seems to insulate 1/2 way decent, is simple, and the 14oz size I find perfect. I will say this is likely not for everyone, but for someone(s) who don't drink 10 cups a day, or like me, disliked the pods price and lack or variety, this is actually a great option at a great price. ... show more

I tried it out twice at home and the first time I used too much coffee and the grounds rose to the water filter. I literally had to tip it over and run it under the faucet to clean it out. I used less coffee the second time and it was a little better. Because it cuts off automatically it also doesn’t stay hot but for the price it’s still a nifty coffee maker. I wish I traveled with a coffee maker like this years ago as I won’t use the ones in a hotel room. I still held back 1 star because of the automatic shutoff which some people may like but I have a habit of turning my coffee on then getting busy. When I get back to this one it’s cold. ... show more

Great coffee maker. Simple to use, minimal counter space needed, perfect for 1-2 ppl. Huge plus is the cup is a To-Go cup! And the cup works great too, better than some of my other to-go cups. The overall design is eye pleasing and looks great on the counter. Storing away (if needed) is easy bc of the size and clean up is a breeze.     • finally ground coffee will cause a mess inside the whole machine

so I purchased this to replace my last little $20 coffee maker which actually worked perfectly fine but I wanted a new color. I purchased this one because it was similar to the one I had one cup quick and compact. so at this point I really would like to just throw it away but I'm going to try modifying the way I grind my coffee beans to see if that makes a difference. so what's happening is I grind my beans really fine and I put in approximately a scoop and a half and then I fill the water compartment up to the top. when the coffee is done brewing and I lift the lid there is coffee spillover in the water compartment all over the basket all over the basket under the basket and then all over the main reservoir under both baskets hopefully this makes sense lol but I basically have to unplug the machine and completely wash everything after each brew. another downside is that you have to remember to turn this machine off. at this point I'm not completely happy I would never buy this again but as I stated I will try grinding the beans a little bit coarse to see if that makes a difference. it seems like the spillover could be happening because the coffee is so fine. although to be able to get the strength that I like and to completely fill the mug that comes with it you have to fill the water reservoir up to the top otherwise the coffee will be too strong and you'll only get a third of the cut filled up. I don't have all the answers but I will try one more thing before I throw this damn thing away. ... show more

Some of the reviews are people expecting something they didnt buy and being mad...this is a 1 cup 14oz coffee maker...it wont keep your coffee warm .. it brews 1 cup period ...its absolutely amazing....I use 3 of the scoops from the scoop provided and its perfect ....I do mostly ice coffee so I dont care if it sits and gets cold if I make it and get to busy to just grab it ...but if you want a small...1 cup coffee maker (14oz) this is it....I have used it every day since I received it ....and it doesnt take up a ton of space...I live in a very small space so its perfect ... show more

UPDATE: 5/13/2026 Oh, how I wanted to love this coffee maker. It was the perfect size and color, and I loved traveling with it. I'm sad to say, after only a few weeks, my coffee maker stopped working. The light was on (unlike the first glitch when it didn't turn on), but the water wouldn't pump. I tried everything: cleaning, restarting, but sadly, I had to throw it away. INITIAL REVIEW: This coffee maker is adorable and takes up so little space. It's not the greatest quality (cheap plastic), but I bought this as a compact coffee maker for hotels while traveling, and it’s been really convenient. I love making my own coffee without having to go down to the lobby. It takes ground, so I use Illy. So much better than the hotel packets. And I don't trust the cleanliness of the coffee makers in the guest rooms. I’ve even started keeping it in my bedroom for a quick cup in the morning. I did run into an issue once where it wouldn’t turn on, and I was pretty disappointed—I thought I might have to throw it away. But after draining the water and trying again, it started working.
