This machine takes up very little space, Is super-easy to fill with water and grounds, and the only control it has or needs is a power switch. The power cord is a bit short, the machine has no brew-timer and the burner has no automatic off-timer, but what do you expect for less than 20 bucks? It works brilliantly within its limitations, so don't set unrealistic expectations and you'll love it. As with all coffeemakers, the listed number of cups is about twice the number of mugs most people drink coffee in. So two mugs is all you can fit in the pot. The filter is an odd size, really small, so the fact they provide a re-useable filter is awesome. I buy ground premium coffee and then grind it some more to get the most out of my beans, yet I haven't noticed much sludge in the bottom of my mug like some people have complained about. This is a bit tinier than I expected, to be honest, but it is actually fine. The claim of 5 cups is a bit misleading - I s'pose if you used a 1-cup measuring cup it'd be accurate, but five regular coffee cups...? I don't think so. I use a big Starbucks mug, so it gets filled to the top once, half of which I drink while eating breakfast, then I pour the remainder from the pot, and fill my half-full mug. It's plenty enough coffee to start my day. Another nice thing is that the coffee stays hot as long as the maker is turned on (much like me, lol). Anyway, for the dough it's a fine investment. I'll be getting a whole near-barista-sized beast once the fiancée moves in. Til then, this'll do just fine. ... show more

The coffee pot works well. It is the perfect size for one person. The only issue I have is in the carafe. It leaks 9 times out of 10 when you pour. So pour over the sink!

If you just want a couple of cups of coffee without fuss, this is your pot. There is nothing fancy or complicated about this. It even has a mesh filter so you don't have to buy those expensive paper ones. The coffee comes in really hot, and unlike other tiny pots, it has a hot plate. That being said, don't forget to turn it off when you are done, or close to the bottom. It won't turn itself off. I repeat: It WILL NOT TURN ITSELF OFF!! I said it was simple, right? ... show more

Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is you end up with lots of grounds in the bottom of the pot which end up in the last few cups served. I don't remember ever having that problem with percolator in the past.

The product makes five (5) 6 oz cups of coffee. We tested the temp of the water in the basket and in the carafe and there was a 5-10 degree difference. We only ran water through it with our test. We believe this would be good for us to have a couple of cups of coffee for hubby and I.
