  • Pleasantly surprised
Size: 7 Egg Color: Classic White
I really didn't know what to expect with this unit but I liked the convenience of set and forget on the eggs. I've boiled a couple of pans dry in the past and thought this could do better. Overall, this unit works great. Eggs are cooked and the texture is right. There are a couple of things that I didn't really consider. One is that because the amount of water you add determines the time, you really have to understand the size of your eggs. It takes a little work to get this right. My first batch of eggs were slightly overdone. This occurred because my counter is not exactly level so water pooled on one side, my eggs were large but slightly smaller so needed less time, and I left them in the unit after it turned off. All of this means I have to watch these things and remove the eggs as soon as it beeps. So it's not exactly set it and forget it, but it cuts down on time and water and I'm really happy with this unit. I'd buy another. ... show more

  • You Get What You Pay For!
Size: 7 Egg Color: Ocean
I need an egg cooker because I can not eat egg yolk for medical reasons, & it seems like too much work to deal with cleaning a pot every time I hard-boil an egg. I went through 2 cheaper ones (not so cheap today due to inflation, but at the time they were $6 & $8), & both broke after a few months & before breaking frequently had eggs explode during cooking. So I decided to try a "better" (i.e. more expensive) option, & based on other's reviews, picked this one. So far, though not perfect, I'm pretty happy. It has what is in effect an auto cook setting for how hard boiled you want your eggs. If I could eat soft-boiled whole eggs I'd really like that! The suggested setting for hard boiled is fine for my purpose, though the yolk isn't 100% hard boiled; but solid enough to totally separate the yolk & the white. If that matters to you, I'd suggest adding about 1 more inch of water (The amount of water determines the cooking time, which is clearly spelled out in the manual). It also has cooking surfaces for steamed Omelettes & poached eggs. I won't be using either, due to my inability to physically tolerate yolks. (btw, another product I have used & reviewed for Amazon, "Chef'n Yolkster Egg Separator, Plastic" https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T7ZFPGF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 does a good job of separating raw white & yolk (I'd guess it has an 85% success rate) & is worth looking at. Back to the Elite: so far it does the job, & while NOT "dishwasher safe" as long no eggs explode (a somewhat common occurance with the microwave egg boilers which this isn't, but the issue is mentioned in the useful owner's manual) hand wash is pretty easy. Only other issue which the owner's manual makes clear (and they are correct) is if one uses tap water the metal plate will stain. I choose to use tap water anyway, a few stains aren't the end of the world for a device like this. Also, this is my opinion & goes against the instructions, but I don't see any reason why the plastic pieces couldn't go in a dish washer (important if you're using the omelette feature!). The base with the metal tray definitely could not. Assuming this unit lasts a bit longer than my 2 previous microwave boilers, I would highly recommend it (Though I wish I could eat whole eggs!). Ironically, when I was a child I could eat yolks, but was allergic to whites; now it's the opposite though not an allergy issue. Really seems to be worth the extra few dollars, & for someone who can use more of the options than I, I'd call this a good value. ... show more

  • Works really well
Size: 7 Egg Color: Blue
Does exactly what it says! Get your eggs in that ice bath when they're done and they'll be perfect every time. I waited SO long to get these. I can literally boil eggs in the pot, dangit! Why buy ANOTHER contraption?! Well, I'm super glad I did. My kids make their own eggs! We all eat way more eggs after buying this. I'm thrilled. I'd much rather them eat eggs than cereal or bars. ... show more

  • Eggs aren’t fully cooking
Size: 7 Egg Color: Black
I had a similar device before. It worked perfectly, but I lost the measuring cup. Since it was old, I decided to replace the whole thing. I don’t know if it’s the thermostat or the cup measuring that is off, but I keep getting runny yolks. I cook 2 eggs at a time and just tried water more than halfway to hard boiled and the yolks are STILL runny 🤦🏻♀️ It’s better than boiling in a pot, but frustrating trying to figure out how to get a medium cooked egg. ... show more

Size: 7 Egg Color: White
I've had this egg cooker for years now and it still works great. It's a well built, very affordable product to make boiled eggs and omelets with. It is very convenient and will let you know when the cooking is done. Cleaning is pretty easy, I use vinegar every once in a while and scrub off the bottom but that's not a problem just regular maintenance. ... show more

  • Works great!
Size: 7 Egg Color: Retro Mint
This egg cooker works as described making perfect hard cooked eggs and it’s easy to clean. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating is because even though it shuts off when finished, it doesn’t doesn’t have any kind of beeping to let you know when the eggs done.

  • Great Little Egg Cooker
Size: 7 Egg Color: White
Bought this June last year, still going strong. Mostly used for hard boiled eggs for myself and my dog, but I have made mini omelets, soft boiled eggs, and steamed veggies! I use this almost daily, easy to clean, compact, and highly recommended.
