This is a fantastic wheelchair ramp. It fit both my front and backdoor with ease. Even more importantly it accommodated an average sized home use Drive Wheelchair. We do also have a larger hospital style wheelchair that is too wide for this ramp, but solely rely on the average size wheelchair anyway. I love that the ramp is a light enough weight to easily travel with you for curbs and so on. The ramp itself has a nice handle that makes it easy to transport from the front door to the back door, but the well made, high quality zippered carrying case is especially useful when on the go or for safe storage. The ramp has really saved the day time and time again. My husband's unfortunate accident has him wheelchair bound for the next 12 weeks. We have a 3" step into the house from front and a 4" in the back. We lived without the ramp for the first few days following his accident and I was unable to lift my husband and the chair over these steps. It took our son to manage this. It really prevented my husband's outdoor experiences to planned Dr. appointments when our son would be available to assist us. The ramp has opened my husbands ability to be a part of life's more enjoyable moments. The ramp has grids that help keep it slip resistant which is a much needed safety measure for the person in the wheelchair, but exceptionally important for the person helping the chair up or down the ramp. It provides an excellent grip beneath your feet, especially with proper footwear. We are grateful to have the ramp. I highly recommend this ramp if the measurements meet your needs.     • Caveat: The ramp length is fairly short.

Being pushed while in a wheelchair, this is a perfect solution providing that the rise up is less that 5 or 6 inches. Otherwise, the ramp length is too short and a longer one should be purchased. For electric wheelchairs, a 4 inch rise, ground to elevation, is maximum.

    • These ramps are well built and sturdy..

I use little ramp to drive a med scooter up and down from a little trailer, but its use is actually much wider...for garden tractors or slight incline/decline walkways to get rid of a step. These ramps are well built and sturdy....one can easily go to the max weight recommended without an issue. The case is fair...my original was ripped and they sent me a replacement without an issue, but it's design was not nearly as good. The case is not essential, however. The vendor is responsive to comments...and I called and made some since the corners of the ramp and some of the edges were pretty sharp (not smoothed. I took a file and took of the sharp edge on most surfaces, which I recommend doing. I told them they really should do this. In the end...good design and will last. Hinges sound. Gap in the middle (where it folds) is small; the weight is nicely light. ... show more

I keep it by the door for my mom's wheelchair. It will support up to the standard size chairs (18", 20", 22"). Folds up easily. Because some of the medical aides may not have dealt with wheelchair ramps before, I added large labels to the top, bottom, step-side, and sidewalk-side. (Basically, "THIS WAY UP!" and "THIS SIDE DOWN!" signs). The ramp itself has labels on the side, but one might ignore them as "fine print." Anyway, it has supported so far in excess of 300lbs in a 22" wheelchair, so I would call it sturdy. It's a bit heavy overall and has some sharp-ish edges. However, it does come with a carrying case (which the cats love to sleep on). ... show more

I like that the ramp is metal and sturdy. I don't like that it only has one end with a lip to roll the wheelchair onto the ramp. Because my threshold is a little tall the ramp pops up when I descend (Pulling the wheelchair backwards) into the laundry room. If the ramp had a hinged lip on both ends instead of only the one end it would be much easier to pull the wheelchair out of the house onto the ramp and into the house. ... show more

First of all this is a DRIVE ramp so you know it will be a quality product. I am using this ramp to get a wheelchair from the garage into the house up one single step. The rise is about 8" and the ramp sits right on the lip of the stair. It handles the wheelchair and me pushing it about 350+ pounds total. I am beyond happy with this purchase, it has been a life saver getting my mom in and out of the house for her dialysis appointments. Highly recommend ... show more
