Super solid ramp, it's perfect for the 4" step up from the sidewalk to my entry way landing. It works well with both my wheelchair and a platform walker. My neighbor lent hers to me (same model) and it worked so well at the front entrance that I ordered one for a patio entrance with out-swing French doors. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough clearance over the side rails for the door to close so it was returned. Bought this so my grandson who is in a heavy wheelchair can get in my house. His mother had a longer and heavier one for him to use, after trying it and making sure it was wide enough and light enough she decided to buy a second one to keep in his van along with a longer one, this one stays at my house. It may be too short to use on a high threshold but works perfectly on a 3 or4" one. Highly recommend if you're looking for a sturdy, fairly lightweight ramp ... show more

I received the ramp today and despite the older negative reviews this ramp seems to be ok. I bought the 3' x 30" model. It is light weight and easy to carry. It did not have the big handle as shown in the picture. So it is either on a different model or they changed the handle to not interfere with the bottom as it previously had. Also instead of the same handle going through the bag for the carry handle there is now a separate handle sewn onto the bag. Seems a little redundant to have the handle on the ramp still since there is one on the bag but I guess if you lost the bag there would still be a handle. I am a 6' 3" 300lb guy, walking up the ramps they did give a little but not much. My only beef with these as you can see in one of the pictures I uploaded was having a storm door and it conflicting with the lip on the ramp. If you are going to use or attach this ramp to your threshold and still be able to close the storm door, you will need to cut away a section of the railing for the door to shut. I have taken pictures of the bottom and a side view of the bottom so you can see there is no protruding handle and that is actually fits flush between the to sides when laid flat. ... show more

This product folds up into a very convenient size and because it comes with a carry case you can take it with you in the car in case you run into curbs etc. that you need to get your wheelchair up or down. The ramp when unfolded works great on all the curbs where I have needed it. I am very pleased with this ramp.The folded size and weight with an easy to carry case makes this an excellent buy. First of all this is a DRIVE ramp so you know it will be a quality product. I am using this ramp to get a wheelchair from the garage into the house up one single step. The rise is about 8" and the ramp sits right on the lip of the stair. It handles the wheelchair and me pushing it about 350+ pounds total. I am beyond happy with this purchase, it has been a life saver getting my mom in and out of the house for her dialysis appointments. Highly recommend ... show more

The one star I leave here is more for the Drive company than the ramp. There is NO RETURN on this item. Even if you wanted to buy a longer ramp. So I will give or throw this ramp away. Just needed it to get mobility scooter into the car, figured I needed 6 feet. So I brought two 6 feet planks of wood cut them to 3 feet each and put on door hinges. That way I can fold them and put them in the car, it also costs a lot less than $115 I paid for the 3 foot ramp. Hoping this idea will stop people from buying from this company (Drive). P.s. Yes I am bitter that I couldn't return a brand new item and had to waste $115. ... show more
