After 3 night of using this matress pad it has been a night and day difference. The pad actually make the firmness of the bed a plus because it feels so sturdy but the pad adds the softness on my joints and back just how I was looking for. This pad is pretty thick but not as thick as I expected from pictures but so far it is exactly what I needed. (Also to add a good barrier to to the dorm mattress.) After using it for 9 months she said it was the best thing she brought with her to school. It added lots of extra cushioning and was very plush and comfortable. Due to her back issues, she was unable to loft her bed so all her friends would gather on her bed to watch tv and hang out.
