Low energy consumption and heat emission extends the lifespan of the mono LCD by 3 times.
  • Larger Build VolumeWith a larger printing volume of 196mm*122mm*210mm/7.71in*4.80in*8.26in, you can print bigger complex structural parts, or multiple small 3D models at a time, which greatly increases your printing efficiency.
  • Higher Printing AccuracyThe matrix light source of 54 UV LEDs emits optimal uniform light beam of 405nm wavelength for rapid prototyping, ensuring a sleek and delicate surface of 3D printed model and a more accurate printing size.
  • Super Stable StructureThe Z-axis adopts a double linear guide-way shock absorption unit, with an accuracy of 0.00125mm for more stable and accurate moving to reduce the risk of layer shifting. The build plate with sandblasted surface has a stronger adhesion, and the set screws on which have long-lasting leveling performance without frequent calibration.
  • Pleasant Printing ExperienceThe replaceable activated carbon filter on the USB port can effectively absorb and filter the resin odor and pungent fumes, bringing you a refreshing printing experience.

  • Great printer for the money
Size: Saturn 2
This printer will produce amazing prints right out of the box. I've owned about 12 different resin printers over the years and for the money this thing preforms amazingly well. Prints come out crisp, clean and detailed. Don't look for super speed but in my opinion I'd rather have a detailed print vs a fast print. I personally like the ball end for leveling the plate as sometimes with printers that use brackets with 4 screws they can bend or warp making leveling difficult but with the ball end it's super easy and straight forward. Knob for attaching the plate to the gantry is HUGE and easy to grip and the inclusion of the carbon filter is nice. However I don't like lift off lids in general, I have a EPAX X1 and it has a swing up enclosure and it's awesome albeit almost 5 times the price. Another small gripe is there's limited space once the lid is on and it may be difficult to get a heater in there(if you print in cooler climates.) Overall I'd give this printer a 9/10 for a basic no frills printer and would definitely recommend this to a newcomer or a seasoned printer. ... show more

  • Good printer in every detail
Size: Saturn 3 Ultra
TL;DR; I'm finding following PROS of this printer: - Faster than competitors out of box without any tuning and preparations. Just get it and print faster than competitor - Precise time estimation in chitubox. it prints roughly the same time that you see in chitubox. No huge underestimations detected by me - Overall good user experience with printing, cleaning, interacting. Might be better though. There is a room for user experience improvement. For more impressions read below. I have Anycubic M5S to compare, so my highlights based on comparison of Saturn 3 Ultra with Anycubic M5S. Below you'll find items that I like more in Saturn 3 Ultra rather than M5S having both on my table. My impression about build quality - solid build and overall good engineering. - It looks gorgeous. I keep it in enclosure box without top lid, but anyway, very nice look. - Solid metal body has handy side effect for me. I can stick something magnetic to it. In my case, it's chitu heater. Top surface where screen located is plastic - Handy resin VAT. It has handles instead of cavities (like on Anycubic). Handles allow you hold VAT much easier/stronger and that means less spills and overall less mess. Absence of cavities means that there is no resin in cavities. Less time to clean the VAT - Touch screen with good resolution and response. Good UI overall. - WiFi without pain. Just connect to your spot right from Saturn 3 Ultra screen (I didn't managed to have working WiFi on M5S). No flash required if you're using chitubox. Small, but very nice improvement for me - Ball screw. This is something affiliated by Elegoo as faster and smoother movement over the lead screw. That's exactly it. When you manually manipulating Z-axis it moves faster and smoother than Anycubic M5S. I can clearly see that by my eyes. And have suspicion that this reflects on print times. - Build plate surface. It more resistant to scratches, has two ribs in mount profile which keep plate in place (in the same place) when you releasing or tightening fixing nut at the top. - USB charcoal filter. Well, it's roughly has x3 bigger filter area than Anycubic and you have one in a box. Somebody could say "who cares, it's a toy" and probably will be right, but it's there for free and it has bigger filter surface. One drawback: it runs only when print starts. You can't have it running if you're not printing. So, enclosure post filtering is not possible with it. Now, about speed. Measurement been taken on stock profiles of Siraya Tech Emerald Blu for M5S and Saturn3 Ultra. Those profiles have different speed settings. 240 mm/min lift&retract for M5S and 320 mm/min for Saturn 3 Ultra. Which is big difference. Maybe for a good reason maybe not. Ameralabs exposure test in original size (~15mm tall). Conjure Rigid resin with Siraya tech Emerald Blu V2 stock profile for Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra. Chitubox estimated time as 52 min print. Actual time taken - 47 min. The same model with the same resin but with Emerald Blu V2 profile for Anycubic M5s takes ~1h15m (01:14:55 or something like 01:14:5X). Сhitubox can't estimate precisely or even close. Usually, actual print time is x1.5 or more from chitubox estimate. Photon workshop gives precise estimations (which are ~ x1.5 bigger than chitubox), but I can't get used to it. Well, that's 28 min difference on a print 15mm tall on stock profiles. Guess, promised 100-150mm per hour not achievable on resin with high viscosity, but Saturn 3 Ultra clearly faster than M5S out of box without any profile tuning or preparations. Print quality No surprise here. It's good. On par with M5S when you're looking on printed model with your eyes. I'm more functional prints guy rather than miniatures, so the only high-detail prints I see is calibration tests. And results look pretty much the same for my eyes. Now, some drawbacks that I've noticed: - You have update over wifi option in UI but it does not work (says that feature does not supported). Guess, they will add this in future firmware releases but at the moment of writing with 1.4.3 firmware it does not work. - Elegoo fans producing more noise than Anycubic. It's hard for me to say whether it louder or just more unpleasant frequencies, but difference noticeable. Honestly, I don't care much about this since it sits in enclosure. - Screen might be hard/not comfortable to read. Depends on how good your eyesight. I wish it could be bigger and/or easier to read. - 4 stars "for beginners" because Anycubic autoleveling and pressure sensing that detects failed prints is hard to beat. ... show more

  • Amazing quality printer with extreme high success rate.
I ordered this Elegoo printer because my last resin printer was not leveling to the bed properly due to a sensor placement issue. On the old printer the sensor is non adjustable, on this printer it is so I upgraded. Initial thoughts: came well packages in pristine condition, shiny clean screen. Since I was already partially experienced from my last printer the setup took about 10 minutes from opening the box and being ready to print. The instructions were clear and it came with a leveling paper and some other parts (scraper, gloves, funnel, etc.). For about the first week I was doing 8-10 hours of printing per day across 3-4 prints. My routine was to print, pull off build plate(something I could not do on my old printer without a relevel) scrape off prints, put build plate back and repeat. The most major issue I encountered with printing was prints sticking too well to the build plate and needed to be pounded off(I solved this later). Broken Screen!: after my initial few days printing I had a misprint. My print failed and had to be scraped from the build plate, I also had to scrape loose scraps out of the vat. After setting the build plate back to home it started grinding, I stopped the motor as fast as I could but it was too late. The build plate pushed something through the FEP, through the polarizer on the screen, and possibly into the actual screen itself. I promptly emptied my vat and replaced the FEP with some I had from before, then I contacted support. I sent an email over and in less than 24 hours I had a reply asking for pictures and a model number, after a few quick and easy email I was informed that they would send out an entirely new screen to replace the one that broke. Overall: I am extremely impressed with the build quality and precision, outside a 1 rough equivalent (that takes months and hundreds of $ to ship) this is the best resin printer that I've seen for under about 2,000$. After getting settings dialed in and trying 2-3 different resins, I settled on Elegoo's own gray resin. I found that after choosing the profile for the Saturn in Chitubox and using a 20-24s bottom layer exposure and 3s normal layer exposure I am able to get flawless prints at least 95% of the time, assuming I actually build supports correctly. With these settings I am also able to remove models from the build plate much more easily. ... show more
