  • Excellent PETG Filament for Fast Clean Prints
Color: 1kg Black
I’ve been very impressed with the ELEGOO Rapid PETG 1.75mm Black Filament. The filament feeds smoothly and consistently, and I’ve had good results with both print quality and layer adhesion. The black color is nice and uniform, and the finished prints have a clean, professional appearance. What I particularly like is that this PETG is designed for high-speed 3D printing. I’ve been able to print faster than I normally would with standard PETG without seeing a major drop in print quality. The filament also seems to have good dimensional consistency, which helps with reliable extrusion and repeatable prints. The 1.75mm filament arrived well packaged and wound neatly on the spool, with no obvious tangles or issues during printing. I also appreciate the strength and durability of PETG compared with PLA, making it useful for functional parts, brackets, prototypes, and other projects where a little more toughness is needed. Overall, this has been a very reliable black PETG filament with good print quality, adhesion, and high-speed performance. For the price, I think it’s a great option for anyone looking for dependable PETG for everyday 3D printing. ... show more

  • my favorite filament yet!
Color: 2*1kg Black & White
This filament has been such a great experience after getting retraction worked out! prints very smoothly and is able to be printed at high speeds! i currently have been printing with it at 1mm retraction (direct drive extruder) 300 mm/s 260 degrees C and have had fantastic results! supports break away easy but the parts themselves do not break! i printed a sheet roughly 3" x 4" just to see how far i could bend it without it breaking and i was actually able to fold it in half without it snapping in half! i then tried to continuously bend it back and forth to see if i could get it to tear or beak and it still wouldn't! i am extremely happy and impressed with this PETG as i have mainly only printed in PLA, but it is safe to say im probably never going back to PLA and this is going to be my go to company to get my materials from! With how bad of a name PETG has for stringing, the stringing that i have is extremely minimal, thinner than a strand of hair strings here or there but not all over the place or at every move like ive seen soooo many videos have happen with various brands of course. those little strings are easily fixed with a quick wave over the stove at low heat and then you are left with perfectly printed parts that feel even more smooth with a slightly more glossy finish! i HIGHLY recommend ELEGOO's RAPID PETG filament! after my first spool used i have been hooked and have ordered more spools in various colors and cant wait to try them! Again I am extremely satisfied and very happy with the affordability of the filament, the speed you are able to print, the strength of the prints, the finish of the prints, and the stringing is a very negligible amount as to not be concerned with! ELEGOO has earned my business! my ONLY complaint is there is a limited amount of colors currently available and i really hope to see more variety with colors which i hope include color shifting, glow in the dark, and glittery styles! Thank you ELEGOO again for making this filament so easy and quick to work with! the bigger tube object is a fully 3D printed lamp i am currently working on, printing the led tube / lamp shade piece in white! and will be adding that to the photos after it is complete! Again THANK YOU ELEGOO for making such a great filament that is able to handle higher speeds and is VERY durable! ... show more

  • It's okay, but took a while to get dialed in.
Color: 4*1kg Black/White/Gray/Transparent
I am not disappointed by this, but I would instead pay the extra and get the Polymaker PETG in the future. However, if you are price sensitive, this can be dialed in to get some good results. The usual things: Spooling quality: Good. Consistent. Cardboard rolls: Wonky. Some deformation on them. Moisture out of the box: Consider it wet and will need extensive drying. Both owing to the cardboard and the fact that the homeopathic amount of silca pellets do nothing. Ease of use: No issues in AMS. No print profiles in Orca. Had to manually dial this in. I tried several defaults and was not happy with the results I got, especially with the .6mm nozzles. In the end, I spent the most effort and time getting the clear to work the best. I found that the clear works very well, has a maximum flow rate far in excess of what my printer can do. On flow rate tests, I was able to fully max out the printer's volumetric speed (~25mm3/s) which is far lower than what the product states it can do. You should spend the time calibrating the colors differently than the clear as the clear is essentially pure PETG vs the colored filaments having other additives in them that will affect print quality and speed. This will take a few hours but if you plan on using this routinely owing to the price, will pay dividends. I found that higher print temps (260-275C) and lower bed temps (about 10C lower than other PETG) achieved good bed adhesion. I used very little cooling on my prints, zero part cooling for clear. The bed adhesion was excessive IMO to the point I was worried about damaging the print bed using the standard 70C bed temps common to other TPU. 50C on the cool type plates, 60 or 65 on PEI, and 65 or 70 on the smooth PEI with glue. You will never get good advice on print settings in Amazon comments and this is no exception. But here's some settings you can use for a .6mm nozzle and then fine tune: Flow .98 Pressure advance .04 Enable pressure advance Retraction .4mm - .5mm Either disable z hop or use spiral z hop. Disable wipe whilst retracting 265C print temp Avoid crossing walls If you want the best clarity using clear, this is a whole other story and takes a good bit of patience and work: 275C print temp 125% nozzle diameter for line width. 1.01 flow ratio. Zero retraction. 10mm/s line speed (way slower) All line speeds equal (e.g. outer walls same) Either no infill or solid infill. Reduce accelerations significantly. Zero part cooling unless absolutely necessary. In other words, kind of like how you'd print TPU. ... show more

  • Very good filament but needs a good printing profile
Color: 1kg Space Gray
I had problems printing with this filament initially using my standard PETG profiles. The main problems were blobs that caused the initial layer to pull up from the bed or left huge holes in the layer and either very bad stringing or voids in the layers as it printed. For context, I am printing on Creality K1 Max and Ender 3 V3 Plus printers (using the same profile on both) and using Orca slicer V2.1.1 After some calibration prints and tests I ended up with these settings: Nozzle temp- 240C first layer, 235C for the rest. Bed temp 75C Flow ratio .95, Pressure advance .16 (OrcaSlicer has built-in calibration models to figure out what settings work best for you) Speeds: first layer 60mm/s, first layer fill 105mm/s outer walls 200mm/s, inner walls 300mm/s infill 250 mm/sec. After these adjustments, I really like this filament. My prints now are pretty much perfect and certainly much better than I was expecting at these speeds. I have now gone through about 3 to 4 KG each of the White, Black and Space Gray filaments and have found no problems with any of them. I have been using only Overture PETG for the last several years and have been happy with it but the volume pricing of this Elegoo made it hard to pass up. It is now my primary choice. One additional note about using these printers: It was recommended the use glue stick for bed adhesion but after trying it and getting tired of the mess, I found that adjusting the Z offset closer to the nozzle worked much better. And also to make this adjustment on the K1 you have to move the bed UP to the print head and on the Ender3 V3 you have to move the print head DOWN to the bed. ... show more

  • Good
Color: 1kg Beige
The two beige rolls we've received seem to run well within the recommended speed parameters. The bed adhesion in particular is pretty much dead on every time with no stringing, shrinkage, or adhesion issues. Parts are printed to a high tolerance and seem to work well for mechanical projects. Both rolls we've received behave the same and seem to behave similarly over time throughout the entire life cycle of the roll ... show more

  • Excellent filament for my purpose, at a good price in the four-pack.
Color: 4*1kg Black
Very easy to print with, using stock ELEGOO slicer settings for this filament. Minimal stringing, and very easy to remove from the build plate (Centauri Carbon using both sides A & B). I did dry the filament for several hours before printing. Not sure if it was necessary, but it can't hurt.

  • Good Quality at a Bargain Price.
Color: 4*1kg Black & White
This is a trusted brand and this particular set of filaments has already printed quite satisfactorily. I would buy more but I need to work down my hoard to make room. Dialing in this filament was easy. Packaging is aluminized plastic vacuum sealed and the spools were delivered undamaged. Although the spools are cardboard, if you have and ACE or AMS filament feed system, use less than 40g of the filament to print spool rim adapters for each and your worries are reduced to house dust. The cardboard hub will fit Bambu style reusable plastic reels so if you really hate the paper. ... show more

  • Good Material, Temperature Sensitive, Use LOTS of separator
Color: 2*1kg White
tldr; This stuff is good but finicky about temperature and cooling. It wants different settings from other PETGs. My settings are below. I was about to pick up my normal Rapid PLA+ the other day, when I saw that ELEGOO now has PETG. Since I have a project that would benefit from some extra light transmission I decided to take a chance with it. Got it in, threw the spool on, loaded up a file and ran a test with my normal PETG settings... and it did not go well. At all. Brittle. Poor layer adhesion. Stringing. Problem after problem, to a point where I spent a couple of days avoiding it completely. Came back to it yesterday and decided to switch from my 0.6 to a 0.4mm nozzle and run a whole lot of tests and this is what is working for me: ELEGOO Neptune 3 Pro, w/ 0.4 Bondtech CHT nozzle. Using Cura and Klipper: Fan Speed 90% (regular 45%, max 90%), though I will probably just keep things at 100% in the future Temp 230-235°, hotter temps seem to go brittle, lower had some adhesion issues on bridges Build plate temp does not matter all that much, this stuff is super sticky on the plate though and will break if you are not careful. I have been at 80°, I will be trying at 70° (see Update) Retraction 1.0mm (direct drive), no extra prime, speed did not seem to matter too much 25-45mm/s seems fine 95% flow rate, was noticeably cleaner for me than anything else Print speed up to 110mm/s was fine for my setup 0.2 mm layer height works nicely with the 0.4 mm nozzle At this point I am happy enough with the material -- it looks good and is now behaving, EXCEPT I would normally be using the 0.6 CHT. I might run some more tests at some point, but so far it has not been worth the frustration. UPDATE: I ran some more tests with the above settings and was able happy with the prints I was getting (still in a very narrow temperature range 230-235°, but was able to speed things up after tuning pressure advance and a few other things) but had the problem others mentioned where it lifted the coating on a PEI sheet. The print was made with the bed at 70°, it was a good 30+ minutes before I went to remove the print and I had used Magigoo and a nickel size chunk of the PEI coating fused to the print and came with it off the sheet. I am not sure if my coverage was spotty, or if maybe the smaller temperature differential from 70° to room temperature was the problem, but if you are going to use this you might consider soapy water, freezing the sheet or any of the other various tricks you can read about to help separate the print. At this point, I am giving up on this particular PETG, however the ELEGOO PLA+ and Rapid PLA+ continue to be my go to filaments. ... show more
