I have no complaints. It does what it says it does and I was able to use it for 1, 4, 5, and 6 weight yarns with few issues. If the winder experiences too much tension, it stops and beeps. That's a nice little feature for me.

Would not recommend. The tension holder doesn't work causing the machine to beep every 5 seconds. Tried to start over 2 times. The 2nd time the yarn got twisted around the bottom mechanics. Now I have 2 skeins of yarn that are a complete mess and I had to unwind a bunch from underneath the product. I had high hopes because of the good rating. It also states on the Amazon description that it holds 10 oz. However the actual manual says 8. It doesn't matter because I'm returning it. I could have cakes 6 skeins with my hand operated winder faster than it took to untangle this mess.

& I get quite a few tangle knots to work out. But I have tried it with 3-4 5- & 6 weight yarns & it caked them all up but not really tight but that could be me because I can guide it as fast as it goes so I start & stop a lot

Love how quickly and easily it winds up a hank of yarn. Much better for my arthritis than cranking a regular ball winder or using my nostapenne. So much faster and the ball of yarn is more uniform. It was definitely worth the money

It works as it’s supposed to but mine is overly sensitive to the slightest pressure. It stops and I check if there’s a knot or something in the skein, but there’s nothing there. It was just at a slightly different angle that it didn’t like. I barely even touch the yarn on accident and it stops too. I’m trying to get used to it and give it a chance but it’s highly frustrating. I’ll probably end up exchanging if I can’t get it to work later to make sure it wasn’t a problem with mine specifically.
