  • Excellent product
Product shipped with protective packaging so no damage when removed from shipping container. Nice looking unit, came with installation hardware and instruction manual. Easy installation-unit is compact and takes up very little space. Installed under sink in hall bathroom and now we have almost instant hot water at sink. Before we had to run water down the drain waiting for hot water-no more. We love this feature and wish I had done this long time ago! Water temp is easily adjustable to your satisfaction with simply holding finger over + or - to adjust. For installation I was not able to find at local hardware store valve to have dual connection of cold water, one line to tankless water heater and one line to sink faucet. (see photo) Ordered this part on Amazon. If you have plumbing and electrical skills this unit is easy to install and highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • The amount of hardware needed to install
Installed 2 units last week , we are on a well in NW Montana & our well water comes out at 38 degs F yr around. They have worked well, we do get hot water within a few seconds. For us, we found not running full flow provides all we need . Dislike, it would be great if product was offered as a kit form ( optional) unit comes pre wired !! This is great. Again, works well, worth the cost, would be great to be offered with extra items needed for install. For us it’s an hr drive oneway to a hardware store. Very good value, easy to install, works as stated, easy to adjust water temp level desired. Would have to invest in a large, very expensive unit to over come extreme cold incoming water temp. Delivers hot water much faster than our on demand propane unit due to length of run. ... show more

  • It really does what you want it to do & it does it right!
Color: Black
My well pump runs at about 55psi, thru 1/2" tubing. This water heater gives me the hot water that I use at my sink, at the shower,& at the temp. that I asked for. I just LOVE IT! My very OLD water heater could not do all the cool stuff that this one does. For me the hook-up was easy, because I already had my old one hooked-up & just used my old wiring/plumbing to hook-up the new one. Amazonen. ... show more

  • Quick install, hot water!
Color: Black
Update: if power goes out, it stays off. So best to install where you can easily access the front panel to turn it on again. Mounting was a breeze with included template and brackets. My water is around 85 F (30 C) coming in at 1.25 gpm, so there was no reduction in flow to kitchen sink at 109 F (42 C) setting. So far (after a day of use) there have been no snafus or shut-downs. The manual warns that much hotter water will come out at first with start/stop/start, because the water next to the coils will take up residual heat at the stop, so be careful (if you think about it, the situation is unavoidable by the very nature of electric boilers) and get in the habit of running the hot for a bit before plunging in with your unprotected hands (another reason I set it at 109). The biggest problem was running a 240 volt line to the sink, so this unit is best for new build or sites where you have an easy wire pathway to your electrical panel. Also, the manual advises to avoid mounting in areas where water can possibly drip down onto it, so that pretty much excludes under-sink installations, where I imagine most would want to install it for access to the water supply lines (as shown in two of their product images), even though the text recommends installing 'a few feet away." I would have hoped the manufacturer would have engineered a water resistant housing just for this situation. Seller also follows up the sale with an email reminding of electrical requirements. I've not needed tech support. So far, so good! And happy to instant hot water at the kitchen sink (the farthest point in my house from my hot water heater). ... show more

  • Only heated water to 99 degrees
Color: White
returned the tankless water heater because the water would not heat to more than 99 degrees AND there was no response to my first support request. I did not get a response from Sivuatek until after I had already initiated the return. I had the water heater set to the maximum 131 degrees but was only able. The in water temperature was 75.9 degrees, which is our normal on our cold water faucet supply. The tankless water heater was being used for hot water at a sink. The product installation guide that came with the unit claims they Sivuatek would respond to request for support in a few hours, but I did not get a response for more than 36 hours. ... show more

  • does the job
Color: White
This tankless hot water heater is just what I needed. I live in a place where the intake water temperature is 75-ish all year round. This unit was used to replace my 40 gal hot water heater tank. The existing 30 amp circuit is sufficient to power this device (that's why I chose it). It draws a maximum of 27 amps. It easily heats the 75 degree F incoming water to 105 degrees F with enough output flow for a shower (probably about 2.5 gal per min). If you tried to run a faucet and shower at the same time, my guess is that flow will be much reduced. If you live in warm climate and don't want to do any expensive electrical re-wiring for a higher wattage unit, this little tankless hot water heater is all you need (provided you only need to run one shower at a time).... 6 month update: still working fine but my only complaint is that the default state is "off" after a power outage. Kinda annoying to have to remember to turn it back on after a power outage. ... show more

  • Heats water "somewhat"
Color: Black
Just installed it on a small sink in garage. If the faucet is more than half open, water isn't very warm. Seems it can't handle a full flow. I'm not surprised. After all, it's small and what can you expect. I just thought a 220v unit would be a bit more capable of keeping up. So I just slow down the flow, get what I can. All in all it's ok. What can you expect for $200 (another $50 hooking it up) Fortunately I already had the 220v dedicated line nearby or it would have cost a lot more. It's better than the all cold water I had. *I live in Connecticut where the underground water is very cold. ... show more
