This paint set is very well worth the price. Not sure why anyone would want this product to be any less vivid in color to bring down this version. These paints should be watered down by the student each time they are used for a project. As a long time mixed media artist I don't know what I would have done without this kit which carries primary colors whose palette has expanded with some very interesting mediums. The kit fills in for the beginner but works for more experienced painters when creative space is limited as work spaces seem to be shrinking or being used by multiple artists. Compact.
