I ordered the scooter without the app control. I'm over 50 years old and don't need a phone or apps to do things... LOL! This scooter was super easy to assemble. Like others have noted, it's just two screws. The only confusion is making sure the handlebars are facing the right direction. I will admit to putting them on backwards which I immediately figured out when I hit the power button and the display was upside-down. No biggie though. Just flipped it and I was good to go. The charging is super easy and any standard plug will work. It's cool that this also has a "headlight" for those times I may want to use this at night. I'm literally around the block from our closest grocery store. I felt so wasteful pulling out the car to go get a bag of chips or some milk and bread. This gives me a fun way of running out to the grocery store for just a few items. I do latch a cable lock through it to make sure it remains safe. While I live in a decent area, this thing looks cool, is easy to pick up, and you just don't know anymore. I think it would be a little big for me to fold up and carry around, but that could be possible if you are using this in a big city for commuting and want to take it into a building with you. Honestly, I'll probably never ride this to the extreme of it's mileage range to be able to test that claim. I've been using this for little rides every day for about 2 weeks now and still have not run out of charge. I'm 210 lbs and it seems to handle my weight just fine. I don't know if I ever get up to the full speed, but I don't know if I really want to at my age, and without pads and a helmet. I just think this is a nostalgic blast though and I really enjoy using it for my quick trips rather than my car. Looking at comparable listings, some scooters cost more, some less and I'm not sure how to tell the difference other than I really enjoy this one and it seems like a good value to me. ... show more

This is my second adult electric scooter, because why should the kids have all the fun. The scooter is well built and is easy to perform final assembly on, instructions are clear and concise. The battery is excellent: it has a long range and charges fairly quickly considering. The app control is a little gimmicky, most of the controls are available onboard. I could see the lock, battery level, and GPS tracking functions being somewhat useful. IMPROVEMENTS that I think are needed: bigger wheels and a bigger standing platform! The wheels: My other scooter has nice chunky wheels that make the scooter handle like a dream, especially over large gaps in the road and over bumps. Those tires are inflatable tires. The tires on this scooter are solid and smaller. This leads to a way less smooth ride and jarring jolts over big road gaps and bumps. The standing platform: This scooter has enough space for me to comfortably fit one (adult male, size 10) foot while having to rest my second foot half on the platform and half propped up against the back wheel well. My other scooter has plenty of space for both feet without feeling that much larger. Other than that, this is an excellent scooter. I have given this to my teen son to use because he tried to steal my other scooter. It seems perfect for him, and he has no complaints. I highly recommend this scooter and think it is an excellent choice for teenagers and young adults ... show more

This arrived quickly and was super easy to set up. Four screws and you are ready to go. The scooter feels solid and had no problem holding my 210lb frame and getting to top speed quickly. A really nice feature is that if you are going for a minute without stopping it makes a beep and goes into cruise control so that you don't need to keep your finger on the throttle anymore. The range seems pretty good - I rode it approximately 8 miles and still showed 2/3 battery on the display. I like the built-in headlight and tail light - they certainly help to keep safe at night. The app is useful as well - you can use it to lock the wheels making it harder to steal, and it shows you trip information (distances traveled, speeds, etc). The scooter folds easily and can fit into the trunk of a car. My only complaint is that the glass on the screen looks strange like it wasn't glued correctly or something (see photo). At first I thought it was protective film, but no, the screen looks weird - almost like micro cracks beneath the surface. It works fine, so I don't worry about it, but it is worth noting. ... show more

This scooter says its max capacity is 265. I’m a little above that on a good day, so I expected it to drag some. On a level street in my neighborhood in “D” it got to 11mph (advertised 12) and in “S” it got to 17mph (advertised 18). So performance-wise, it will go! Now, I feel a bit like the bear at the circus riding a tricycle as I’m also 6’4” however I did not have to hunch over to reach the handlebars like I expected. I grew up when Razor scooters were the thing to have so I’m not unfamiliar with riding a scooter, but I was a bit wobbly at first. It quickly came back to me and as dumb as grown men look on scooters, I didn’t care, it is fun! The acceleration button is easy to push and manage, with power coming from the front wheel. The braking is smooth with a disc brake on the rear. The light on the front works (though it doesn’t project far enough to be driving down a dark road and give you any form of seeing what’s ahead) and seems to be more of a safety feature to make you seen. The brake light flashes when brakes are applied. I ordered the version without app control, however the app does work for me in conjunction with the scooter. I can change modes, lock/unlock, and check range. Overall this is a quality scooter for a teen or adult with some nice features. ... show more
