I was very skeptical about replacing my old gold’n hot electric hot comb. I am a 4b heat trained natural and have been for almost a decade. I use the hot comb to touch up my edges and roots between washes, as I live in a very hot and humid climate. I was blown away by the texture that I was able to achieve with this hot comb. I may have to have a memorial service for my old gold’n hot electric hot comb. I can truly tell the difference. I was also skeptical because it was so lightweight, but that didn’t make a difference at all. It’s retains heat much better than my old hot comb. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it any day. If you have fine hair like me, definitely test out the lower heat settings. It really does get hot.

It works very good but I still had to ude the flat iron. It didnt smooth my curly hair as much as I would have liked but still did a good job. FYI, I didnt use the hottest setting was little chicken as my hair is curly but fine not real thick so didnt want to chance burning it so maybe a hotter setting may have done better.
