Excellent!!! I used in Las Vegas to Heat water and make coffee because most Las Vegas Hotel rooms do not have microwaves or Coffee Makers or refrigerators etc. any more I also purchased a coffee filter so also that was needed was to buy coffee at a Walmart or Dollar tree it paid for its self because I did not have to pay Starbuck Prices just for a cup of coffee and it heated up cups of Raman noodles really good as well. Although the yellow electrical cord was thicker than most, I was not impressed with this immersion heater overall. I've used infusers to heat up coffee and tea for years. This one heated very slowly from the day I received it. At about 18 months it began heating only intermittently. At about the 2-year mark it stopped working altogether. I prefer my electrical appliances to last longer than two years which is why I'll be buying a different immersion heater to replace this one. ... show more

Fast hot water for travel. I used it with a glass jar on the train. Note: the packaging was in an Asian language that I do not read so I did a lead test. I did NOT detect lead using a swab test kit.

I’ve had water boilers like these in the past. I use them while traveling because the hotel options are often missing or gross. This model boils water but it works very slowly. It also doesn’t appear to have any safety or temperature limit so it needs to be watched. If it is left unattended for too long the water would boil off and the unit would get dangerously hot. ... show more

I bought this to take onboard cruise because I like my coffee when I first get up and since they now charge a fee for the room service on cruise ships I was looking for an alternative. This works great and I can have my coffee when I want it

I used it once to make coffee in a mug then it quit working. You can smell something burning when it was plugged in and part of the outer casing melted. I do NOT recommend this. Buy a small electric kettle instead or a better immersion heater. Beware. You have to stay with this as it heats your liquid; don’t leave it alone. ... show more
