  • Very quiet and versatile heater!
Size: 7500-Watt Hardwired
For a small heater it puts out a lot of heat! It was very easy to install, however if you’re not knowledgeable about basic electrical hookups it would be a challenge. It requires an additional 40 amp breaker and the wire has to be installed and wired directly into the heater. Overall it’s a great product , very well made and performs well. ... show more

  • reasonable priced leectric heater
Size: 5000-Watt Hardwired (Electric)
I ordered this heater to take with me to Big Bear, CA, right now the temperature here is in the 50s and in the 20s at night. The garage is particularly cold (30s) which makes it hard to work in a very cold garage. I installed this heater myself and did the electrical wiring and 30 amp breaker. It started right up and began heating half the garage. In a couple of hours, the temp went from 30s to 60s making it comfortable to work in now. I am pleased with this unit so far, its easy to use, just point the remote and turn it on and set the temp you want...When you turn it off, it will run for 90 seconds and turn itself off. ... show more

  • Little heater that can
Size: 7500-Watt Hardwired
I was a little skeptical of this heater at time of purchase. I have family member that paid more than this and their heaters just do the job and seem to run continuously. I have had this heater for 3 weeks now. I live in the northern United States, so we get cold. It has averaged between 0-12f degrees at night for the past 2 weeks. I have a about a 1000 sqft shop. My goal is to just keep it above freezing. I thought every time I’d walk into the shop, the heater would be on. It is the opposite. The heater keeps the shop at 45 with ease. It worked so well, I bought another one for my Garage, to keep it at 45. I just installed 2 days ago and it rarely runs as well. At least, every time I walk in there, it is not running. When I pull my cars in and out, it drops to the thirties. Within 30 minutes the temperature was back up to 60 degrees Fahrenheit I had it set at 60 just to test it). I have never owned another 240v heater, so I can not compare apples to apples. This one has surpassed my expectations. I do not have a way of measuring the heat output, I just time the on and off times. When a door is open, it takes minimal time to get back up to temp. There was one time I stopped feeding my wood stove early in the shop. It started to get cold, so I cranked up this heater. Within 30 minutes it was so hot in the shop that I was sweating. Update: I found a not one thing wrong with this little heater that can: if you lose power, it does not automatically come back on, and it will not remember the last setting you had it on. I keep my shop and garage at 45, just so my liquids do not freeze. I recently went out of town for business, and we lost power. I had to inconvenience someone else to stop by and turn on and set the heaters. ... show more

  • Safety Concern!!!!!!!!!!!
Size: 7500-Watt Hardwired
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM!!!!!!!!!! I purchased the item in May of 2023. Installed in my garage by a licensed electrician in June 2023. Used the item only occasionally (2 dozen times or fewer) over the last 22 months. I do not spend lots of time in the garage. On 4/11/25, I was in my garage and had the unit running since it was a cool night. I heard crackling noises coming from the heater. I looked and saw the unit was glowing red and had smoke coming out of it. A few seconds later there was a spark inside the unit and flames started coming out of the front of the heater. I used a fire extinguisher to douse the flames, and I shut off the power to the unit at my electrical panel. I also called 911 and the fire department came to the house. They measured the temperature of the unit at greater than 600 degrees. After the incident I checked reviews on Amazon and discovered a few other owners had the same issue. I tried to find a way to call the manufacturer but have been unsuccessful. I spent almost 50 minutes on the phone with Amazon reps who were also unable to find contact info. Trying to visit the Tempware support site is dead-end. Amazon offered me a refund due to the seriousness of the issue with the unit even though the unit was purchased almost 2 years ago. Amazon also said they will do an internal review to see if they should still be selling this unit since I am not the only one who has had the unit catch on fire and they do not have a clear way to contact the manufacturer. ... show more

  • Great heater, with one thing to consider
Size: 7500-Watt Hardwired
I bought the 7500 watt version to heat our insulated 750sqft attached garage. We love coming out to a warm vehicle in the winter we and also have a sink in the garage that I didn't want to winterize each year. Our old garage had a $600+ Dayton electric heater, I decided I wanted to try this more affordable option for our new house. Wiring is straightforward, I ran 8/2 romex on a 40amp double pole breaker from our subpanel in the basement up to the garage, mounted it to the ceiling and that's all there is to it. One thing I haven't seen mentioned that is very important, IF YOU BRIEFLY LOSE POWER OR HAVE A POWER SURGE THE HEATER WILL DEFAULT TO OFF once the power returns. If you are like me and rely on this heater to prevent freezing pipes in the winter, this is a very important consideration especially if you will be away from the home for any period of time when it is below freezing. Had I thought about this, I may have gone with a mechanical switch version rather than digital. Other than that, this puts out more than enough heat for our garage and I run it on the 'low' setting constantly. We have tall vaulted ceilings, upwards of 14+ft, and it keeps the whole space warm. We keep it set at 58F but it maintained a temperature of 70F with no issues while we painted in there. All in all, great heater just evaluate your needs. ... show more

  • Nice heater for 3 Car Garage
Size: 5000-Watt Hardwired (Electric)
Replaced 17 year old garage heater that had stopped working due to electrical issue where the 220V power was connected using wire nuts per installation instructions. This unit was easy to install and has superior power connections to lugs. Started up and worked as advertised. Love the remote. Heat output is adequate to warm up my 3 car tandem garage from 40F to 65 F in about 2 hours. ... show more
