I just put this together a few days ago and am really enjoying it. This is so well made and looks so realistic. It is one of my better buys from Amazon. The colors on the fireplace are so beautiful and also enjoy the heat it produces on my sunporch. I will be using it as a three season because our weather here gets so cold in the winter. The only thing I would have liked better is if the shelf was on top. It’s a little odd looking on the bottom but I’m still so happy with it. ... show more

    • Read the directions for part 13!

Beautiful fireplace. It arrived in 2 boxes on different days. Well packaged. The reason for 4 stars? The directions. PLEASE read this first. Building the cabinet the last step is to attach the long piece #13 to the cabinet. Well.. if you do that, the next steps are to put the fireplace inside and mount it and then to get the glass panel to fix perfectly the directions have you REMOVE number 13, put the glass on, THEN put it back. This headache could be avoided if the directions just didnt tell you to screw it in the first time. When you get to that step, flip ahead and you will see what I mean. The other reason is because it required using an electric drill. The boards that need to be attached to the fireplace did not have screw holes. However, you could see that there was some attempt at holes but they were on the wrong side, and it was not put together backwards as there was only one way to attach it. Problem easily solved using a drill, but should be noted. It was easy to put together, maybe an hour to an hour and a half? Can do solo, but having help for the fireplace part was helpful (especially with the drilling). Very high quality and looks beautiful. Heats up the room beautifully too. ... show more

Instructions are awful when it comes to the heater insertion. There are instructions for all of the other uses of the heater piece (freestanding, wall attach, etc.) but none for the specific fireplace/mantle I purchased. The directions are different in the fireplace direction vs. heater directions for the same steps! It's nuts! Also having trouble with the remote completely not working after 3 different sets of batteries were inserted and the buttons on the front of the heater are a crapshoot if they turn on or not. I spent a lot of time putting this together and feel like it's pretty useless now. Can't send it back as I no longer have the box (and would never get it back in there) and really don't want to deconstruct anyway! So these companies are getting away with murder. At most, they'll ask me if I want a partial refund - NO! I want what I purchased to WORK!! So disappointed, frustrated and mad. ... show more
