We went to some local stores looking for an electric fireplace insert for our fireplace that was in need of service. We wanted one with some heat, for our size, and provided sound and effects. Everywhere we went quoted us at $1,400+ for just the insert and another $1,600 for installation. Needless to say we passed on that and came upon this guy. Reasonably affordable, fits in our space, looks great with the trim, has heat, and effects as well as intensity. The matching trim kit does wonders for filling the gap if you find yourself in need of that extra inch. I enjoyed using tangible buttons on the insert but the remote is nice as well. Other users mentioned that the sounds were more like radio static and while I can hear it, it’s better than nothing. ... show more

The fireplace is very nice. It’s not hyper realistic but it does put out decent heat and does look amazing. The remote control works well. Only a few draw backs one is the “crackling” sound is down right awful. Second is the cord comes out of the side so if you build a frame for it to slide into you’ll need to take that into account. I just don’t understand why they didn’t make it come out the back so the only real dimensions you need to worry about is the base frame. Lastly there is no way to fix it to whatever you slide it into, so if the frame you put it in is not tight anyone could just come and slide it right out which could be a safety issue especially if you have small children. This also adds to the frustration of the cord coming from the side of the unit instead of the back so the frame can only really be so tight. Other then those few things installations is an absolute breeze. Slide it in plug it in and you’re good to go. I’ve only had the fireplace in about a week but All and all once you get the fireplace in it’s a great fireplace for the price. I will update later if anything else comes up ... show more

It’s a great beautiful electric fire place. Heat is great but be aware you will need other heat in order to hear a house so be aware of that and the fire crackling is loud but you can turn it off. I found the remote worked perfectly for me and the changing the background color was super easy and beautiful and to me it looks realistic. Installing is super easy and the best part this company is legit and has a great product. I will update again if there’s any bad issues with heat during winter but so far this thing has been amazing. The only thing that I would change is maybe the crackling isn’t very realistic and is very loud. Other then that perfect. 5/5 stars. ... show more

The sound of a crackling flame sounds nothing like that. The flames don't go very high. Gas fireplaces look more real, the electric looks fake.
