We went to some local stores looking for an electric fireplace insert for our fireplace that was in need of service. We wanted one with some heat, for our size, and provided sound and effects. Everywhere we went quoted us at $1,400+ for just the insert and another $1,600 for installation. Needless to say we passed on that and came upon this guy. Reasonably affordable, fits in our space, looks great with the trim, has heat, and effects as well as intensity. The matching trim kit does wonders for filling the gap if you find yourself in need of that extra inch. I enjoyed using tangible buttons on the insert but the remote is nice as well. Other users mentioned that the sounds were more like radio static and while I can hear it, it’s better than nothing. ... show more

It’s a great beautiful electric fire place. Heat is great but be aware you will need other heat in order to hear a house so be aware of that and the fire crackling is loud but you can turn it off. I found the remote worked perfectly for me and the changing the background color was super easy and beautiful and to me it looks realistic. Installing is super easy and the best part this company is legit and has a great product. I will update again if there’s any bad issues with heat during winter but so far this thing has been amazing. The only thing that I would change is maybe the crackling isn’t very realistic and is very loud. Other then that perfect. 5/5 stars. ... show more

This is a lovely unit. Love the flame and light setting - great look. It’s true what others say, the sound effect is ridiculous (will never use it). Maybe will be ok with just high or low heat setting (we had variable setting on our last unit.). Have only used on high one and got the chill out of the air. As winter arrives we will be using heat more frequently. For now love the ambience of the fire. ... show more
