I’m incredibly happy I found this product at this price point. I was considering paying upwards of $300 for something similar, and I like this option better. I hope it lasts, but so far so good! (I’ve had it a week). The remote works perfectly and comes with a battery. The flames are subtle, which I really enjoy. I’ve only turned the heat on a few times (Texas winters aren’t really winter— it’s never cold), but the heat output impressed me when it was a bit chilly outside. I love putting a log in my fireplace a few days during the winter— I adore the ambiance— but they’re expensive!! This is the best way to get the ambiance with just one purchase, and no mess of logs! Also, you don’t have to have the heat on, so it’s really nice to have that option. I cleaned up my fireplace and this fits in it perfectly. I live in a small apartment, so I was happy with the size.
