The electric drain snake clog auger is an item I never thought I would need, but when I did, it worked efficiently and made my life easier. The electric drain clogger is a great alternative to those manual snakes that you stick down in the drain. It made my job easier and anyone can use this tool. This clog auger comes with a 25 flexible cable which is long enough for most clogs. It can be used in your toilets, sinks, bath tubs, or anywhere you may have a drain. This electric drain auger is battery powered and uses a 20v rechargeable battery which lasts long enough to get the job done. The electric drain auger is fairly lightweight and easy enough for women or men to hold onto and get the job done. DIY if I get motivated to save the cost of a plumber and waiting for plumber to show up. Can keep the kitchen clean of grease and food buildup and tub clear of hair.     • Broke after first use
About 6 feet of the auger broke off in the drain pipe. It was stuck in there pretty bad. I was afraid that I would have to spend a ton of money to have a professional retrieve it, but luckily 6 inches remained outside of the wall and after 15 minutes I was able to force it out. Disaster averted. I think the auger cable is much too light weight for the power of the motor. ... show more

Overall I'm very impressed with this drain snake/auger. I own a manual drain snake, and I also own a large (drum-style) professional drain auger... this unit a nice balance between the two. It's more effective and easier to use than a manual drain snake, but it's small and portable... so it's much easier to use indoors than the drum-style auger... and also not nearly as messy. So far I've only needed to use this electric drain snake once (on a clogged shower drain), but it worked like a charm and was very easy to use. It's a little pricey, but you could buy a couple of these for the price of calling out a plumber, so overall I'd say that it's a great value for the money. I'd buy it again. Also provided was a pair of cloves, battery, charger, and user manual. The manual is easy to understand and follow. As a homeowner, I invested in an industrial 100ft power auger that really packs a punch. However, dragging this extremely heavy, large unit out of the garage to clear a drain is a real pain. I also owned a handheld auger that was powered by a regular drill which was very difficult to use. This little device has a lot of power and simple to use. The controls are conveniently located for easy access. The auger has a top handle that has three directions used to move the snake (forward, stationary, or reverse). Additionally on the side is an indicator showing the direction the auger is going. Again convenient for the user. The power button/trigger controls the amount of torque . The harder the pull, the faster the auger goes. The neutral position prevents the auger from accidentally powering up. There is a light located in front to aid working in dark areas. Having said all of this, I haven't yet used this to clear a pipe. When I do, I'll update this review. For now, this is a great find and useful tool for a homeowner. ... show more

This charges up fast took 0 skill or experience to use. And the length was long enough to Clear a drain that had been clogged since I purchased the house that I gave up trying to clear with draino and other methods and less useful tools. In 5 min I had the drain cleared with multiple Chewbacca's pulled back out in a single attempt. This tool cost about what it would for a professional plumber to come out and snake your drain but more than pays for itself in a couple uses. The durability and quality of the product is strong enough to most likely be used by a plumber to make some money. It easily took care of my problem and removed everything in its way. Got a sink drain that you gave up on I bet this will be your best solution hell I may even use it to make a little coin myself now. ... show more

After some professional instruction from a friend, I can easily clear my drains out on my own! It was very easy to operate, once I got the hang of it. I paid monthly for a plan to have a plumber come out up to three (3) times per year to clear my drains. Cancelled it!!
