I have used it to have a few items in my home but most recently it’s being used with a coat hanger in storage. Easy to use, definitely important to stick on the surface and let settle for a full day before using to hold something. It doesn't hold very heavy things but works for most small tasks at home. Easy to remove from walls as well without leaving trace behind.

This tape is everything! Once the backside of the broken tile was nice and clean, the tape stuck well! A day later, the tile is not removable. Great product for things that need to be mended around the home or office.

Review for Tapem brand strong double-sided tape. If you're looking to mount something and have it STICK, then this premium double sided tape will do the job! This thin, double-sided tape by Tapem will help you mount most anything onto a smooth surface. Do not use this on applications where you expect to quickly remove it! This tape is made to STAY in place! This tape is VERY sticky! It can be used on a predictable range of non-surfaces including sealed wood, plastic, glass and metal. The Tapem company doesn't "recommend" using their double tape on painted walls, wallpapers, rough, or wet surfaces but I would think if the object was fairly light in weight (a poster) this would do the job on a clean, painted wall. Be aware this is NOT "removable" tape. A poster, for example, would likely get damaged when removed. A latex painted wall (not-enamel) would likely be damaged upon removal! Tapem claims this to be "heavy-duty" but time will tell. There is a minor foam "core" to the tape - it isn't just a coating of adhesive like some carpet tape. In my experience, this little wafer of foam gives it much greater resistance from taking bumps and knocks. This double-sided tape is said to hold up to 1 pound per 2 inch strip during normal use on smooth surfaces. Understand this is a little less than 1/2" wide (1 cm) and consider how heavy a POUND is for attaching something to a vertical surface! You could put multiple strips on the surface, of course, increasing the level of adhesion. I wouldn't hesitate to attach things to an automobile's unpadded interior (example: attaching something to the dashboard or on the glass like a cellphone holder or a compass) (clean surfaces before applying, natch) They say there's a "great" resistance to moisture so I would think it would be good for misty bathrooms but I would hesitate to use it in a shower where it would be regularly saturated. Still, if it's just to put a small thing like a razor holder onto tile... I'd go for it. It's supposed to be resistant to UV rays, so that's good for outdoor applications, but again, I would keep it out of the rain. Around the house, I could see attaching things like hooks to parts of a shady grill that don't get hot. I could see attaching things to metal doors, tool boxes or plastic tackle boxes (like magnets!). I could see attaching things to laminated surfaces including most office furniture or the sides of computers, metal shelving, etc. I could certainly see the adhesion of this tape being much better than those hooks and things that come packaged with just a sticker on the back. I just used just a couple of strips to secure my alarm clock to my side table as I find myself constantly moving it around. That's not going anywhere! The included folding scissors are cute but they're not a toy! They are accurate and sharp. You'll want to hang on to them and keep them in a drawer or in your car to have just in case. (or medicine cabinet for trimming down band-aids!) Tapem says they guarantee 100% satisfaction with their sticky tape. My experience dealing with these smaller companies is that they really do want to make you happy, so while I do find this tape to be all they say it is, it's nice to hear how confident they are. I would caution you to store this reel of tape in a quart sized zip-lock bag as the edges are VERY sticky and will attract dirt esp saw dust! Also: removing this tape will be a challenge for easily scratched surfaces! I would use a plastic scraper and some kind of label remover.

I used a 2" strip of this tape to bond two clean surfaces of gloss 1/8" acrylic, which happens to be my intended end use. After 24 hours when it should have been at 95% strength I tried to separate the pieces by twisting or pulling to see whether the foam would tear or the adhesive would let go. I was expecting the foam to tear first, but surprisingly the adhesive detached cleanly from the acrylic. It did take considerable force to separate the parts, but I guess I'm used to foam tape that you pretty much have to destroy to separate. I'll repeat the test again just to be sure I didn't do something wrong before I actually use it. Even if it continues to detach at the adhesive layer I'll still find plenty of use for it. There are many times that I would prefer to have a tape that is strong but still somewhat removable without solvents.
